"so finally i say Victoria get on the bus please and she gets on the bus .. i smile at the driver and the aide and walk back into my house ... laughing inside my head......... just wait till tomorrow...." Just a thought and I do understand your frustration with the bus people but if Victoria is capable of getting on the bus by her self let her, will surely make her feel very independent KWIM. Playing games with the driver and aid cause you are ticked at them, now just my opinion, in no way really helps your daughter. I really do get your annoyance with them but I am just asking and honestly asking nicely here ;D Why not have Victoria walk on the bus herself ?? Now I might have missed something and I really hope you are OK with me asking but does Victoria go to school all day or just in the afternoon? Just wondering why she would be asleep before she got on the bus? CC

victoria goes to school in the morning, for half a day, victoria doesnt need to feel any more independent believe me, she is stubborn and willfull , not becuase she has downs but becuase she is related to me. btw i am not hindering victoria from getting on the bus , but i had to stand in the rain today for ten minutes because victoria refused to get on the bus and i refuse to pick her up and put her on the step.. so yes i do think it extremely hilarious that victoria refuses to get on the bus.. they got exactly what they asked for........... as for victoria being asleep it is because she stays awake till eleven ,twelve oclock some times till two a.m. she refuses to go to sleep and has done some pretty dangerous things while we were asleep i usually have to stay up with her to make sure she stays in the house , stays out of the microwave, stays out of the woodstove, ect. ect. what is going to happen when victoria is asleep and im not allowed to lift her up the steps to the aid? is she going to come down and carry victoria up the steps? i think not, she can barely walk down the steps on her own, let alone carry victoria up with her! the whole situation makes me angry, because it is ridiculus, i wiegh 320 pounds , i lift furniture for a living, im not going to drop her, but i do have better things to do than stand in the cold and rain while victoria decides if shes going to get on the bus or not.... KWIM?

that is tough about the lack of sleep. i work the 3-11pm shift and those are crazy-it is more of training my husband than anything. sometimes kyle stays up walking ext.... we have to put him in our bed (sometimes)and he is out because it is too frustrating to play "war" when we all need to sleep. well i have read some give kids get sleeping aids? i do not know the details though or how bad it has to get? i just know how a good night sleep feels. about the bus driver -you say i am allowed, not allowed it is your child ,so i say your allowed. sometimes ,when the kids were asleep on the bus i would walk up the stairs and driver would say "i'll get him" thats fine, but if your standing in rain, the aid is compermised, victoria sometimes gets stubborn, YOUR THE PARENT, ext....place her on it yourself and at the same time work on the independancy so that victoria does it too.how is she at school with little sleep? sorry if i am focused on sleep-i love my sleep.

sleep blessed sleep, alas i am cursed to have severe sleep apnia and narcolepsy at the same time, my c-pap is set on 17 on a scale of one to twenty , twenty being the highest, i have bouts of memory loss, night terrors, would you believe crankiness, fiber myalgia, although the funny thing is i dont fall asleep , the form my narcolepsi takes is when i laugh too hard i pass out, sometimes im complete out sometimes im just paralyzed , aware of what goes around me but not able to move or speak, this doesnt last long thirty seconds to a minute,,, when we had victoria in her own room she would sleep for a couple of hours then wake up and get into stuff, some times the fridge, some times the oven , one time she had the hot coals out of the wood stove on the floor!! she finally got up and left at five a.m. and wandered down to the nursing home down the street, i got a call from the chief of police, and i of course got the look, you know the look, its from people that have no idea, the people that have all the answers about nothing they know anything about, then victoria was with the the cheerleading coach and escaped , the police found her and i got turned over to the child protection agency,, (hmm wy didnt the coach get turned over to the cpa) so anyway victoria sleeps with mom and me, she is six yrs old , she turns sideways and pushes mom and me out of the bed all night long any sleep i get is negated by the lil thrasher in bed, we have a very large walk in closet so we put a bed in there for victoria when she goes to sleep we put her in there, later she usually wakes up and climbs in bed with us, sometimes when we get her ready for school she never even wakes up when we dress her, that is wy she is still asleep sometimes when we put her on the bus, some people i know suggested we give her a "natural supplement" they give their kids to make them drowsy, i dont really think it a good idea to drug your kids so they go to sleep... to top it all off when she goes to my mother in laws after school my mother in law(i know it is her way of getting back at me) lets her take a nap in the late afternoon! OH WOE IS ME! this whole letter sounds like i m a big cry baby lol there are so many things out of my control that maybe i obsess over the things i can control or maybe im just a pain in the butt, or both , who knows?

well i havent posted about this subject for a while but this is how it goes now, when victoria goes out to the bus, (when she doesnt refuse i mean) and she wont get on the bus with me prompting her,(about fifty percent of the time) the aid and the driver start asking me(begging me really) to just put her on the step, other wise we just get to stand there, beggin victoria to get on the bus while cars line up waiting for her to load.......... hmmmm ........ welll victoria usually wakes up to load on the bus at least, though the teacher told me that she fell asleep in class, which is wierd because she didnt look or act like she was tired at all at 3 a.m that morning while we were both up.. .... ....
