Ok, it's now day 4 and the ever so stubborn bowel movement won't move. Jelani is struggling and grunting and I'm out of solutions. I've given him the Miralax (2nd day now) and I know it take time. But here's where it gets scarey...I've used the glycerin suppositories, nothing. I've given prune juice, warm baths, lotsa liquids, and yet he can't relieve himself. I just finished 1/2 bottle of mineral oil enema and after fighting me in the tub, he's falling asleep in bed and nothing is moving. Meanwhile, I'm waiting for a call from his Ped. What else should I do? I read the enema should work in 15 minutes....it's been an hour. Any advice? ? I hate to think I'll need to take him into ER. Last resort is to remove it myself and I don't know how, I think Leah had to once...Leah if you are reading this, please advise me!!! Thankyou.

Just don't do another enema!! I think his little body has had enough. I'd definately call the ped and write down and let the ped know everything you are doing! I think some tests or something needs to go on... you usually only have to blink and an enema should work, so I'd be concerned something else might be going on... blockage? Something?
And yes, I think chocolate is a cure all for lots of things...depression, happy days... bad days... so why not "no poopin days"? ;D Maybe he could get some poop going from eating chocolate and you can get some comfort from eating chocolate with him! LOL

OH poor Jelani, I am so sad for him and for you, don't know what to recommend. Not that this will work, but Shawn and I put this powder stuff called Infant Probiotic, ever since giving him that he seems to do alot better with his BM.
