I wrote a poem for my son, Joshua. It's here: greyhairgeek.wordpress.com/2008/07/28/a-poem-for-joshua/I know some people go through a rough time after a Down syndrome diagnosis, but I had five miscarriages in a row before Joshua was born. I never thought to be anything but thrilled to have him in my arms.

Hey, thanks for the suggestion. I didn't think about doing that. It doesn't look like it exactly fits any of the desired categories, but I just emailed it anyway. :-)

WOW!! That's just beautiful. Do you mind if I print that out and share it?!? I work at on OB/GYN office and we have had two babies born with Ds in the last couple of months. I would love to share this with them!!

Kelly, Your poem is just beautiful! I know it relates to your own personal experience and your feelings for Joshua, but it sure felt "familiar" to me! I definitely think it's something that new parents would want to read! Thank you for sharing it with us, Susan
