Was such a beautiful day here today and Colin wanted Chris and he to be outside Kodi and I went to a craft show, which was GREAT BTW, K, I am getting off track, LOL Chris the whole way up to Bear Mountain kept asking to ice skate and Colin kept saying not today. Well when they get there to both thier surpirse the outside ice skating rink was open So they skatted and Colin told me Chris did much better then last year ;D Last year he needed Colin's help but this year he said "Nooooo I do" OMG how cool is that. He is already asking to go skiing but that he will have to wait a bit as I haven't seen snow in the forecast here LOL CATHY start woooooooshing this way, K my little Character is ready for the white stuff CC ~

Skating outdoors is one of my favorite things in the entire world. Double points for beautiful scenery and the smell of a woodburning fireplace.
Sounds like a wonderful day.

WTG Chris ;D ;D ;D
Can't see Sarah EVER being able to ice-skate or ski - her balance is dreadful and she is a scaredy-cat (bit like her Mom)!
Enjoy the winter!

I remember when I ice skated the first time. I was just about eight, nine or so and I was so cold! I stood by the side and held on for dear life! I think I fell once too. I remember because I had seen the other kids and adults ice skating and wished I could have been in the middle skating eight's too.
I did like roller skating and did that better! ;D

Debbie you might get to try skating again this weekend...as Texas is expecting their second snow of the season ...for which ...I am NOT ready. In case you all missed it...we had 8.5 inches here on election day.... I loved ice skating as a kid....thought I was headed to the ice capades for sure...LOL. I also remember the LAST time I skated. It was about 25 years ago when we lived in Germany. It was New Years Eve and in our housing area we had a huge ice storm that totally coated the sidewalks. Our apartments were laid out in a huge circle so goaded into it by a ....silly husband....and much to the amazement of my children....I donned my ice skates for the first time in years and skated all the way around.....
SILLY SILLY SILLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...ME.......... I couldnt walk for a week afterwards...and have never put them back on since.
Emily has never ice skated...she didnt even like roller skating....and Ed my DH has skated only once...and that was when he took Marnie to a soccer tournament in Dallas....and they went ice skating at the Galleria where he fell first time around and broke his wrist...
So..needless to say...we dont even got to ice shows or hockey games anymore...LOL
