I read, but can't confirm, that the makers of this film had focus groups to prevent offense to blacks, Jews & other ethnic groups. So they succeeded on that front. They had no such focus group to prevent offense to the intellectually disabled, so "went full monster" on this movie. Such a horror.

Chris not only did they not do any focus groups but also they did not have one single person with a disability or any type of advocate group or person there on the set. I agree this is why they went "FULL MONSTER" (love the term) on our guys n gals. Do u know Ben Stiller actually co-wrote this movie?
I hope to god though that those who do their rallies wed. will not chant BAN THE MOVIE BAN THE MOVIE over n over again as I still believe we all have the right to choose what we do and do not see. Had to walk away from our rally here as well I believe everyone has the write to see it I just wanna convince em not to.(((hugs))) sTEFF

we all enjoy the right of free speech, but there is also such a thing as community standards, it is against the law in the state i live in to say the f word in front of women or children, we have to raise a cry so loud and so long that like the n word it will no longer be acceptable to use the r word in a negative or derogatory way, we as members of society can make a difference if we stand up and speak for our children, friends and relatives, this isnt about free speech it about making it such a devastative monetary loss that hollywood will never produce another movie like this again, we can do this by demonstrating, sit ins , ect ,, and calling for the ban of this movie, we have the right as members of our communities to determine the standards to which we will hold each other to, we do this by speaking out, showing our communities that this is not only wrong ,it is evil, evil in its simplist form, attacking the most defenseless members of our society, im rambling i know but im so very p(mad)ed that i want to scream,

My ex wants to take my kids to see this crappy movie. His statement was..."I saw Ben Stiller's interview.." blah, blah, blah. And his other statement "Tom Cruise is in it"....so that makes it ok.....right? WRONG! He and my kids still want to see it even though I have asked them nicely not to!!! No one listens to me!!!!

Deanna, Isn't it rated R? I'd refuse to let mine see it; even it if wasn't for all the horrible things about it..........just based on it's rating. Don't guess it would help if you told the Ex "No", would it?

Susan...my ex won't listen to me at all. I could tell him to not walk into a moving car...and he would do it anyway! I sent him emails about the movie and vented my feelings about this movie...he just won't listen. I tried!!
