blizzard.com who produces starcraft, warcraft, world of warcraft is making a very good effort to clean up the language on their web sights, they wish to make their game site family friendly, so i dont quite understand wy it is against their rules to use the n word ect. but its okay to use the r word, anyone who plays any blizzard game plz email them and explain to them how much we appreciate their effort to make blizzard a safe and fun place to play, chat, ect. but the use of the r word is inacceptable, it it hurtful to us and our families, it is hate speech in its most vilest form , remember there is no audience larger than young people playing on line video games, we talk about tv and music lyrics , but go to a games chat room and see how many times in a hour the word retard is used, plz join me and email or write to blizzard.com, and ask them to ban the use of the word retard on their site, this wont stop people from using it unfortunatley . because the will just misspell it to get by the censor , but it will make some gamers aware that that term is not acceptable , which unfortunately they probably dont know. and thats what its about,,,, awareness, thank you..
btw what was the name of the young man who gave the speach to his high school,,,,,,,,, i cant seeem to find it anywhere?
palumbo?

His name was Soren Palumbo (pretty sure I butchered that). DH and I were pretty big World of Warcraft players for about 3 years. It's hard to change the players at large, but every one who we were directly involved with online knew that the R word was NOT cool with us. The guilds we were in wouldn't allow it on their individual forums and we wouldn't let it slide when we were online. I emailed Blizzard a bunch of times about their profanity blocker being usurped when things were purposely misspelled and about how certain words weren't even blocked then spelled correctly. Unfortunately, I just don't think, like the majority of the public, that they consider that word to be on the same par as the N word. But, with enough people emailing in, maybe the point will be made. ETA: Here's the youtube link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=CoqaNG0Ozqc
