;D ;D Thanks for asking..... I have told Olivia about it she still doesn't quite understand what is about to happen but not sure she will untill she sees the ends results. She'll see the painful parts and will most likely think I am a NUT. We film with Olivia and Kyle on the 18th of september so figured a day before or so will try to explain perhaps a bit better. I love the kid still thinx moms prettyful K copied and pasted what I wrote in my post down below cause I now know what when its all going down. Here goes. OMG you guys.. very cool stuff now I know what is happening with me.Gonna have some painful times very soon but gonna be worth it. K.. Going to this amazing dr. to get my lasik done. You should've seen this office me thinx its nicer than my house. lol/ Getting 6 porcelain veneers from the dentist n 2 ceramic crowns and a night guard to protect her work the wardrobe n makeup n hair stuff. But the dermatologist I visited today is really a cosmetic surgeon as well. Never thought I was going to get more than perhaps a chemical peel or something like that. BUT getting my skin resurfaced through fraxel laser treatment, some restalyne, botox on my number 11 frown lines on my forehead and get this an upper eyelid lift. Pretty darned cool huh? Sounds pretty painful; after reading up on it all but hope to look like a new person soon. Can't wait to get started on my new career and see the look on everyones face I haven't seen at the hospital for a while they are gonna be shocked. I am not telling any of them. So all the humiliation will be worth it. tee hee.... (((HUGS))) Steff

Ditto on the mouthguard. It's hard to get used to the first couple of nights, but waking up WITHOUT a headache from clenching my jaw and grinding my teeth make it worth it.
The upper eyelid lift - you will look waayyyy more horrible afterwards than you will actually feel. My sister had it done and looked like a frigging monster afterwards! Ugh. I couldn't even look at her. She said it wasn't that painful though. Way more painful on us than it was for her! LOL
This is very cool stuff Steff - can't wait to see the 'after' shots! And, of course, Liv's reaction will be yet another priceless moment I'm sure!

OMG you serious? Hey how long was the recoup time??? They are going to do all this in a really really short period of time and I am getting so nervous.Really will be getting the teeth, lasik, fraxel laser resurfacing which I hear is painful for about 5 days afterwards, eyelids all after the 18th of september then will have only till october 22nd to heal. God I hope its enough time am getting nervous about it all now as its getting close and OUCH am starting to hear peoples stories of their experiences with these procedures. I know my kids will think I am nuts seeing me looking like a monster for a bit/ Liv right now is making fun of the way I bite do9wn on my tongue as I figured out I literally grind down on my teeth when I am awake so instead have resorted to biting on my tongue so as to get out of this habit before I get the pretty porcelains which are very delicate. Liv looks at me gets big eyes then bites down on her tongue and LOLOL. Stinker. (((HUGS))) Steff

I think the recoup time was a couple of weeks for the swelling to go down and for her to look back to normal. You should be ok with almost a month to recover. It really was only the first couple of days that it was unbearable to look at her. I have a weak stomach, so I could have just possibly overreacted to how she looked. LOL You'll be fine - this is such a cool opportunity for you!! Jessie

Oh man just talked to the dermatologist/cosmetic surgeon. No one told her I was getting lasik done on the 22nd of this month. She said I had to wait 3 months before she would consider doing the eyelid procedure. bummer I also told her the 2 other gals I am getting lasiked with on the 22nd. Apparently they too are scheduled for different eye procedure but eye procedures nonetheless. Would prefer the lasik but leaving it up to the producers of the show. Wait till they call me this morning. They are gonna be bummed.Especially cause the other 2 gals doing it didn't mention they too are getting lasiked on the 22nd so wonder whats gonna happen. Boy that network will be in a frenzy this morning. I hope they choose the lasik for me but will take whatever I can get lol sound desperate eh? Figure I can always get the other done if I want to later on in life although I doubt I ever will. But the eyes and the ability to see when I awake in the morning sounds really nice. Plus I chose to do the eyelid procedure under local rather than general as I don't like the feeling of going under. Fear I may never wake up which is a very normal fear plus I like control and this way I don't have it ya know? Let u know the results later today. UGGGG We are gonna film with the kids next week we'll do it at the house then go to the park and do some gymnastics, basketball and skateboarding. I can still do a handstand on the parallel bars and turn around 180 on em. Hey 42 years old but still has never left me. guess its a novelty when someone my age does it lol(((HUGS))) Steff

If you do end up getting the LASIK, that's the only thing I have experience with. I have heard that they don't even have to cut your cornea anymore, but if they do, that was the freakiest part for me. When they cut it, your vision goes completely black for about 15 seconds. Freaked me out even though they warned me about it. My eyes ached for about 2 days, but nothing huge. And the rewards were instant: on the drive home from the procedure I was able to see everything, with only a little bit of blur. And I had TERRIBLE vision. Like -9.0 nearsightedness. I actually need to get it done again due to having 2 kids, and that messed up my eyesight a bit. This is all so very exciting! I can't wait to see the before/after pics and watch the show!

Oh hey... my goodness they sent me to a new plastic surgeon today last minute. She called me at 11:30 am today. Everyday seems like I am running from place to place but the lady was kind enough to send me at 2pm said I'd race as L.A. traffic to the valley is a nightmare on friday. He's gonna do the fraxel laser surgery with a brand spanking new one which requires only one treatment. Gonna do my face n neck. Apparently the recoup time is kinda brutal so he said I may need up to 3 days of rest n no one bothering me. hmmmm... something about pus n redness and BLEEEECH...lol gonna go to my moms the first day and spend the night. The doc said the eyelids would be helped immensely with the fraxel and thought it was a better choice to do only the one procedure rather than both the laser n surgery. Soooo.. I will be very sore soon. AND I will actually be able to wake up and see what my face looks like . Now that I am thinking about it if they did it before the lasik I wouldn't be able to see how horrid my face looked.... lol hmmmm been living in denial for far too long so glad the eyes are being done as there is no arguing with clear vision when it comes to the way you look. Ya know???
YES coolmommy I am getting the kind where they don't have to cut anymore I guess it forms some kind of gas bubbles which produce a natural flap without slicing. That makes me happy after hearing about the darkness you referred to that would freak me out...
off topic here but today I noticed in the paper that they were having debates about the r word and someone came up with a nice alternative. I kinda like this one. Hows about Uncomplicated??? I like that word. So innocent and much more appealing doncha think??? Thanks again for asking its all getting so close
