Well, Laura officially turned 17 on Friday. She was already exhausted when she got home from school. They had a cake in one class. Her sped teacher got her a small iPod pillow. Several other students made homemade cards for her that were real cute, and those were from her reg ed classes. Friday night we went to Red Robin for dinner, her choice, then home for gifts and cake and ice cream. Saturday my mom and stepdad took Laura and Kelly to Dixie Stampede for the evening show. This is an annual tradition. This is a gift from mom and John, and Laura gets to pick who is invited. She invited Kelly, Mike and I weren't included. We instead enjoyed a quiet meal at Bonefish Grill. Then Sunday mom took her shopping for a few tops and out to lunch. She has had a wonderful weekend, and she has enjoyed every minute of it. She is also VERY tired, and burst into tears when I told her it was time for her shower. After her shower she came up to me and said "guess what Mom, I be 18 on my next birthday"!

Great times! Too cute that she's thinking about 18 - be glad she didn't say "and that's almost 20!"
