I just have to brag a little bit.... I'm always proud of my kids, but his weekend was especially so. With this week being homecoming week at their high school, and Tia's boyfriend being on court, they have quite a bit to do. However, Saturday Amber and her boyfriend Ian, Tia and her boyfriend Brian spent all day making "stars" with our members pictures on them, signs for the Buddy Walk and running errands. Then Sunday were at the park for 0830 to set up for the walk that registration began at noon. They then chaperoned the day with face painting, a blow up kids thingy, etc. They were diligent on our walk (we walked beside a river, then beside a 4 lane road) about doing as they were told and staying between the kids and the danger! When looking at the pictures I can see them as I put red Buddy Walk t-shirts on the volunteers! haha They stayed and cleaned up and transported all of the stuff back to where it needed to go! Then, and this is so sweet, at our high school during homecoming week every day has a different theme. Monday's was "be a star" day. So, ALL of these kids including boyfriends and friends, wore their Buddy Walk t's to school and when asked told people they came representing "true stars". (I had a teacher tell me this last night at the powder puff football fundraiser) So.... I think my kids are following in Jackie's kids footsteps! They are loving, PROTECTIVE, and so VERY PROUD of their sister!! And we couldn't be prouder of them!! All of them. Sheryl ;D

Oh Sheryl...what a wonderful story and what great kids. That is a hard age to do what they did for their sister...I don't think you will have any worries in the future. Do you have any pics of all this?

Well, I'm certainly not dry eyed! What sweet and wonderful kids. I know Abby's brother adores her, and it is so nice to hear how other siblings care so deeply about their loved ones.
