Well ladies and gentlemen, once again your words of wisdom have proved correct. Just want to fill you in on the adventures of The Brookster You said teach her sign. I (and Signing Time) did and she is well over 200 words now. You said she will be verbal after she walks, and guess what. We have some words. We have football (she will point to her foot and scream BALLLLL , we have Pooh, as in Pooh bear, she says words when she wants to play flashcards, we have blue and wellow which are all verbal and clear as day ;D She has learned alot of colors and can point them out and sign them. We have learned alot of animal sounds. She can do cow, sheep, goat, owl, pig, cat, snake, dog and blows kisses for fish She is just amazing me so much lately, I am so proud. Oh and get this. After a long time of her being scared of the potty, she went pee pee in the potty last night. Can we say a bunch of clapping fools around here. Mary thought we'd lost our marbles One more thing. She will start school in January. A whole year early. I'm a bit nervous. It's a secret so don't tell. We're being sneeky, her OT and I, and calling it a home visit I know she will be so young but I have to give it a try. If she doesn't like it we will wait but I have to try. This is why i've been so persistant in teaching her colors, animal sounds and numbers. Oh yea she can count to three, skips four and then comes 5. It's cute. Ok thats enuf rambling Just wanted to say Thanks and offer hope to everyone. It will happen. I love you guys

She is so darned cute and ohh how I remember the first potty. OMG... thats so cool. She sounds so much like Olivia. At 2 Olivia went to EI by herself till 3 years of age. Prior to that I was there with her as she had center based therapy. So by bthe time she was 3 and starting preschool she was so ready and had no problem seperating and learned so much from her typical peers. Very good MamaBrook and Yipeeeeee for Brook! Don't you just love when those milestones are hit, and the whole world is a just at her fingertips! ;D Jelani started school young too...infact he was 3 and still crawling on all fours and used a posterior walker in class, navigating his way around. Then he graduated to pushing a chair around...then walking! Anyway, the experience the school will provide Brook combined with all you do at home is wonderful...and I'm thrilled to hear about the "potty" progress...woohoo! ;D
Keep up the good work you guys...and thanks for sharing! Yay Brook!!! ;D Yay mama!!!
