Note to self, OMG do not redo Christopher's room unless he is away for a week LOL the poor kid is beside himself. For any of you that have been here for sometime are very well aware Chris also has very intense OCD. At the moment we still have him off the meds, hmm not sure what I was thinking with that too LOL. Anywho we had to move everything out of his room for the new carpet to be put down today and the room will be painted Monday and Tuesday so I am trying to keep everything out of there till then. Chris loves everything in its right place and I am not sure who is going to win this battle I did show him on the calendar when we can put everything back in his room. He seem to get it but wonder what I will wake up to Hopefully I get up before him or else he will have moved it all back in his room and put it all back where he wants it LOL to early If he does, oh well BUT I really am hoping he doesn't and truly understood, KWIM CC ~

Sounds like he's handling it so far....maybe the excitement of a "new" room will win out over having everything in place. Whats his new room like? Change the colors/bedding etc.? maybe you can post some pics of Chris in his new room.

Geez CC - messing up his world like that?!!! Actually, it probably would have upset him more to be gone and have him come back to a completely new room. It's probably best he's there to see the transformation.
Can't wait to hear how he likes it once it's done.

I can honestly say I am truly amazed, Chris has not tried to put one thing back in his room ;D He got it, is not happy about it but he GOT it ;D We had moved all of his stuff which actually is 2 rooms worth as his bedroom is 2 rooms. Anywho we moved it all into our bedroom and he goes in lots and lots LOL and checks if its time to move back and I keep telling NOPE not till Wednesday. I think I am more excited for Wednesday so I can get all his stuff out of our bedroom CC ~

Christie,
I really UNDERSTAND where Chris is coming from. I like my room to be as I like it and where I want things to go and stay. Now, I don't have OCD like he does, but, I do have some OCD traits. I understand the need to have your own space and possessions more than anyone. I understand where you are coming from as far as having new carpet. We had our carpet cleaned last May or June. After the carpet was cleaned and dried I was the that put things in there proper place. My parents understand that what is in my room is mine and that no one moves what is my room. However I was not upset that we had the carpet cleaned. I knew it had to be done before they had the carpet cleaned. We had spots that could not be taken out. The carpet just didn't look good especially in my room. I would ask Mom, "When are we getting the carpet cleaned?" ;D I Yes, I am a clean freak when it comes to my room!.............Debbie
