For the first time in my life of 48 years I will be out there, too. Trying to get the Cricut at Walmart. Gotta try it once. Also, if I get it I can slip over to Lewis where the Wii is 199. And they dont open til 6. Nancy

Nancy, Walmart on Friday? You should have gone to Michael's last evening. They opened from 6 to 9. I think everything was half off. We stopped at a Michael's on the way home from Lynn's sister's house. Lynn picked up some special cartridge for her Cricut. But we're home safe and sound and warm this morning. Guess I got off lucky. All I had to cook yesterday was a banana pudding, well, after I made pancakes for breakfast. I'm afraid Christmas will be a different story. Bob

Too funny you guys! I work at Walmart and was working last night...there were people at 8pm sitting in chairs in the electronics dept and the sale didn't start until 5am! I just think that is too crazy, but that's what makes Black Friday so fun and crazy. I however, did not shop this morning and never have on the day after Thanksgiving. Hope you all get/got what you went out for.

I think I am aging faster than I thought cuz yrs ago I lined up for sales...long before there was ever a 'BLACK FRIDAY'. But now I have discovered the ease of 'online' and the free shipping to boot. My kids are scattered far and wide so its really easier and cheaper to do it that way. I used to love to shop...but after several moves and packing and unpacking...I just want to clear my life out and told our kids to give us'experiences' (like restaurant cards) and not things. I come from a family of shoppers ...LOL. My sister's home...while eclectic and fun...looks like it should have price tags on everything...every time I go I see something I missed the time before.
I am looking foreward to a slow day here at home. It's cold so we will stay warm and snuggly and quite possibly start taking the Christmas things out. Em is sketching furiously.
Have fun ye weary shopping warriors. Let us know about your plunder.

Well after 10 stores, LONG lines (like 1.5 hrs in checkout line itself at Toys R Us), I can officially say I am finished, and completely exhausted. I can hardly wait for kids bedtime, and I will not be far behind. With regard to Walmart, my husband camped out in the parking lot beginning at 3am on a quest for this HDTV he's been waiting for forever, and the store only had 2 or 3 to begin with. Needless to say, he is not a happy "camper".

I started out at 6:30 am....Waited in the check-out line in Toys R Us for over 2 hours! But it was kinda fun. Everybody was talking to each other, and when we got into the area where they Guitar Hero and Rock Star demo's, someone programed in "Eye of the Tiger" and everyone started singing and dancing! Made me forget my sore feet! I haven't shopped on "Black Friday" in years, and it was quite an experience. Not too sure if I'd do it again.

Thanks Ladies! I knew I wasn't the only "deal loving" Uno Maser!!! I can't exactly post where I went and what I bought, because sometimes my kids read the posts. But I was up at 2:30am, showered and headed for Nashville (about 1.5 hours from here).......quickly ran in and bought the ONE item I had gone after and headed back to our town where my DEAR hubby (His FIRST time ever) went to Walmart at 4am to buy the things on our list and then headed for another store to wait in line till I got there to take his place. We were first in line at that store and got 1 (they only had 3!) big item that we really wanted.....YES! ! ! The only negative part to the day was my experience at Kohl's. UGH! The line to buy anything wrapped all around the inside of the store and I heard people say it took over an hour to get to the register. After walking around with several items for a while, I finally decided that the savings were not worth that long line. After a few more stores, I headed for work. FUN day!
On a horrible, negative note.........did you hear about the guy who was trampled at a Walmart as the store opened this morning?? Just tragic!

OH so glad you found all that Susan!!!! Should have given you my list...LOL.
We had a glitch locally...our Bed Bath and Beyond flooded Thanksgiving and had four inches of water and merchandise floating all around. Heard they planned to open on time today. It was actually the ONE place I considered going...so good thing I opted for staying home.
Em and I did some pre shopping last week so we will spend the weekend wrapping those.
