Took Chris yesterday after school for his yearly eye appointment. K, we have been seeing the same Eye Doc since Chris was 4 OMG she is just the GREATEST with him. Anywho I was sitting in the room just in case of any troubles LOL which I am please to report there were none, Chris cooperated with it all ;D But the different part is, he always read the letters to her when she asked Chris K, what letter is that. This time when she asked him he didn't verbally say and has been able to say the letters of the alphabet since he was in preschool. Anywho she would ask him and then say good Chris or try again and I was like Hmmm wait he is not saying anything Turns out he was signing the letter he saw with his right hand and she was going on that by looking at his hand. I couldn't see what he was doing so I wondered what the heck was going on LOLOL She said she doesn't know much sign but she does know the letters so the test went on just fine Turns out Chris does need a stronger prescription but they now have this thing I don't know what it is actually but if you pay another 99.00 they use some special lens so that your eyes don't look so big, KWIM? I hope it works as his prescription is pretty strong, we shall see when I pick them up. CC ~

The special lenses are probably to thin them out because of how high his prescription is. That's what I had to do when I was younger. My Rx was awful (-8.75 in each eye) and if we didn't pay the extra money my lenses would have been like Coke bottles. How cool that he came up with a new way to let her know he knew what she was talking about! As Sarah gets older, I hope I can find a really good Pedi Optha. I loved the one she'd had since she was 1, but she retired last year and I'm not all that thrilled with who we have now. Can't wait to see pics in his new glasses!

HA! That is too funny on the signing!!!!!! Smartypants he is!!!
Russell also has thick glasses. Actually when he had his ones before his lens implants they were THIIIIICK as can be.... Now they are thick but nothing near what they use to be. Right now Russell's script is R - 6.0 , L -7.5. His last script before this one was worse.... and thicker!

You go, Chris! He always delights me. I think it is great that he decided to test the Doc by signing.
