In the news piece I saw on TV yesterday, it said he was found sitting in his seat directly behind the bus driver.........how could the bus driver NOT have known he was still on there?? No matter what, the helper needs to be punished in such a way that no one would eve want to do that to a student again. Very very sad.

Another reason Joshie will be homeschooled. She should be more than just "fired".

This breaks my heart too. I was almost afraid to open it. Anyway, it just shows we can never take anyone or any service we have for our child for granted. Bless that young man's heart. I am insensed the attendant on the bus had to get to a party and did not tell the driver.
We all do a great job keeping on top of things for our loves, keep going ladies.

Colin and I were talking about his today and it just seems to me that both the driver and the assistant should be held accountable along with the bus company. Geeze how hard would it be for there to be a rule that ALL buses were checked at the end of the day just to MAKE sure this NEVER happens. Sorry I know this sounds like judging and I am not REALLY BUT come on how in the heck did it take so long to find this young man? Chris rides a bus 45 min each way and if he is late coming home more then 20 mins. I am on the phone with the bus company which then radios the bus driver. In my wildest thinking/wondering I cannot even understand how such a thing could happen From what I read the aide on the bus had somewhere to be OMG and just left the young man there She should be left out in the cold all alone and see how she enjoys it. Honestly I can't even imagine how this person went home and slept at night knowing this young man was left on the bus all alone, cold.... My boy although may lack in communication OMG would find a way off that bus out of that lot and GOD only knows where he would end up This story just makes me sick CC ~
