Well, I am popping back on for a brief rare moment. Love reading your posts. I have some games and learning activities Dani really enjoys and thought other's may be interested. Since I am a single parent and she is my only child, we get to play lots of games, read and play. For those of you blessed with other kids, they would enjoy playing these too. One game that she loves is Zingo, Bingo. It is age 4 and up. She is 6. It helps her learn to take turns, sequence, pronounce each piece and match to board. I believe I got it at Barnes and Noble's. Also, I found these on Overstock.com www.overstock.com/Office-Supplies/Educational-Colors-and-Ladybugs-Game-Sets/2738457/product.html, and she loves them. It is fun to watch her learn and grow using these simple and inexpensive games/activities. Just thought I would share. Happy New Year's to all..... By the way, she lost her top tooth, the other is loose and she already got her big girl teeth on the bottom as they poked in behind her baby teeth and pushed them out. My little girl is growing up too fast. Wahhhh.

Thank you. I'm always looking for game ideas. So far, Joshua likes This Little Piggy, Peek-a-Boo, and Patty Cake the best. That picture with the missing tooth is adorable! ;D

Oh Kim how great that you posted these toys! Ok so I overspent at Christmas, but I wish these were on my list! (you know how we spoil our one and onlies! ) I'll have to go check these out. Thanks! And Dani is just darling, what a sweety Jelani hasn't even begun to lose a tooth yet...I wonder if all the grinding has anything to do with it?

As Clarice gets older (she's 10), we're trying to find games she can play with all of us, learn the rules correctly, and enjoy without getting frustrated at losing all of the time. In fact, she can win quite often at these. We're also trying to introduce her to games she can play in daycare with her non-DS peers. Uno - matches colors and numbers Blokus - shapes and spacial skills Jenga Go fish & Old Maid...good games to play with siblings
Anyway thought I'd add my two cents. Anyone else have some game ideas? We love to play as a family.
