Just wondering, how many of your kids have a Nintendo DS?
Ethan has had a Leapster for a long time, and we have a STACK of games for it. He has learned a lot from it. We have an OLD Super Nintendo downstairs and he's really good at it.
His grandma bought him a DS for his birthday. He absolutely loves that thing, and it has been the greatest incentive for school cooperation ever. We remind him before he leaves for school that I will be checking for a note when he gets home, and if he does his work at school, he can play his DS. He really wants to play, so requires very few reminders when he's at school.
So, what games do your kids have and enjoy? Ethan has Mario Kart (loves it!), the New Super Mario Brothers (loves it), Legos Star Wars (so-so) and Indianapolis 500 Legends (so-so). Just wondering what else is out there that is fun for the DS.

Jason doesn't have Nintendo DS, but he has a Gameboy and a Playstation. The games we buy for him or that he tends to pick out are action ones or ones based on movies. He's got Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, Kung Fu Panda, etc.
Yes, the games can be a wonderful motivator. When Jason has a bad day at school he gets the Playstation taken away . . . he HATES it when that happens! He tends to have many good days at school after he's gone a night without his Playstation.
I think I may have mentioned this before, but one time when I was traveling I sat next to a very chatty guy. I was telling him about Jason and his love of gaming. He asked if I'd ever thought of looking into him being a game tester when he gets older. Dang, that would be the perfect job for him if only he could communicate well enough. Maybe there's a future for Ethan in that though!!!

Ashleigh has a DS, but only plays it in the car!! She has a Crayola game that she loves- which coloring is one of her favorite things anyway!! Her other favorites are Cooking Mama, Peter Pan, Brother Bear and Tarzan!! The last three are actually Gameboy games, but they play in the DS also!!

We are a DS Family!!! HA! Well, everyone except for Russell. Kevin the girls and I all have one! We LOVE it!!!!! We have all sorts of games....
And if you need more juvenile games, you can use the older Nintendo game cartridges in the front of the DS. Graphics are older and not the same but you can still play them. Reece has a few games, like her Strawberry Shortcake, that she has the older cartridge for from Regan's old Nintendo gameboy.
