Kodi's going to be a junior in the fall, already? Amazing how time flies! You and Colin should be ever so proud of her. I don't think it's weird at all that Kodi and Chris have a bond like they do.
So sorry to hear about Goldie. But, as you said, she will no longer be suffering. It's so hard, just today Brian said he missed Toby and it's been 3 months since we put him down.
My thoughts will be with your family this Friday.

What? There's such a thing as chocolate peeps? Where have I been? Why don't they sell those by me?!!!!
Yeah, funny I didn't even consider NOT eating chocolate yesterday. Geez, that's a guilt-free day in my opinion!! LOL

Poor Russell! How does he do with these procedures?
Honestly, I have a really hard time reading your and Bob's posts about the boys' eye issues. I can't even stand to put eye drops in, let alone talk about about a knife near an eye! Ugh. LOL

I agree with trying the diet changes, that still helps my son (who is 16). When he starts going through an aggressive phase we take a step back and look at how he's feeling (which is hard because he can't communicate well at all) as well as his diet. Every time we have done this we realize we've let the carbs creep back into his diet too much so we cut back.
I also think in general that that age is really hard for some kids. Jason was pretty much a terror at that age! I can't imagine how he would have been had he had younger siblings then. Even at 13 when we had my daughter he had a hard time with it. She couldn't cry without him getting angry.
The harness may be another source of frustration for him - he really may be getting too old/large to be confined like that. I remember someone else here (probably MB or Laurasnowbird) suggesting that an adult ride the bus with the child for a day to show them how they are supposed to behave on the bus. Just a suggestion - might help if you decide to try getting away from the harness.
Good luck - welcome to Uno - and keep us posed!!!

That just cracks me up!!!!! LOL
How about giving him a carrot stick to chew on (you know, a normal sized one, not just a baby carrot)? My cousin used carrot sticks for all of her kids rather than regular teething toys and they loved them. Maybe it would feel more like wood than a traditional teething ring.

So sorry Brook has to go through this (and the entire family), but I think she'll pull through just fine too.
You guys will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I don't cook, my husband does it all. When it's my turn to cook it's a night out too!!! LOL
I'm very fortunate to have married someone that LOVES to cook. I do the cleaning and the baking so I'm not completely helpless in the kitchen, but let's just say the kids eat a healthy diet because of him, not me!!
I'd like the red velvet cake recipe, that is one of my hubby's favorites.

I know exactly how you feel being we just put Toby "B" down back in January. It's truly heartbreaking. We took Jason with us to the vet when Toby was put to sleep because we needed him to see that Toby was gone. Morbid I know, but he wouldn't have understood otherwise where Toby was. We have two new dogs and he loves them, but there will never be another Toby. Just the other night, we saw he had placed a picture of Toby on his night stand directly facing him while he was in bed. It's going to be tough, but it's unfortunately inevitable. So sorry that Goldie has had to go through a long illness too. Jessie

That is very funny. My cousin had sent that to me the other day, which was shortly after I told her this story:
Last Saturday we were all piling in the Suburban to go somewhere. Jason steps in dog poo (the new puppy tends to go in the garage) and proceeds to climb into the Suburban - blech!
Brian is all aggravated cleaning things up, Ellie is sitting patiently in her carseat with an empty bowl in hand (for snacks for the ride). She drops the bowl and said angrily, "my bowl fell in the dog sh*t!".
I proceeded to turn around, walk back into the house and laugh my butt off.
Yup, one of those beautiful poo-inspired moments!! LOL
