Stevie's pre-school was a private one that was paid for by the public school district for kids with special needs. But Stevie was in the general ed classroom with supports and therapy pull-outs.

Go for it I home school all of mine except Stevie, but I will "bring her home" (home-school lingo) next year - 1st grade. She's making great progress in speech and fine motor and I anticipate that she'll only need occasional updates with an SLT after this year of kindy. I'm pretty sure that one-to-one teaching will be about perfect for her and I've gotten the rest of the kids mostly self-sufficient for schooling, so it ought to go pretty well. Still, I might be crying this time next year

Brandi, We switched to Easy-Ups partly because they fit better under the jeans. But maybe that's what you meant by "diaper" ...

I'm with her on the hating. Hopefully it's just a weird thing that doesn't repeat. It took my first girl two years to get a regular cycle. I finally put her on chasteberry for a few months. Either it fixed her up, or it was just time for it to fix itself. Either way, all's regular ever since.

Irregular periods are quite common for those beginning and ending their hormonal cycling. It is really a bummer when "irregular" means "more frequent" - yuck! The only sign that I started into para menopause was that my cycles went from 35 days down to 25. Aaaaarrrrgh!! I don't want more periods - I want fewer, please :/
Susan's friend is prolly right - wait to see if it happens again.
(((hugs)))

Welcome to Uno, halal I know that we have members from CA who can help you. Since I'm not one of them, I'll just welcome you and encourage you to come back to look for the ones with knowledge to respond.

You are a super star, Brandi "... only about 7 hours from here so ..." That is quite a drive! Your cousin is lucky to have such a wonderful, supportive cousin like you

I do not look forward to times like these; being on the sidelines is hard enough without absence from the event altogether. I ache for you, Jackie, but I also want to remind you, as you know, that there will be other events that you can attend. I can't imagine that it helps much to remember it, though

Steff! Good to read the update! I love the idea for your new business, and I'm wondering if you'd consider adding a line for power lifters like me. I have an easier time finding clothes to fit Stevie than to fit my quads, hammies and biceps :/ Stevie has a pretty standard build so far - she's actually taller than my other kids at that age - go figure! Still, the market for your clothes will be huge and you will be sure to have many happy, happy parents and kids who can finally dress stylishly

Contentment sure is a key to life, isn't it? Isn't it great having kids that can model it for us?

Yogurt - Brandi's right on that. I've been on the Primal diet lately and have had great results for digestive concerns (lost 10 lbs too). It's totally grain free (not just gluten-free) but not at all hard to do once you get used to stuff like making your own noodles. Research has shown that loads of people are gluten or even grain intolerant without actually having celiac. They have the same, or similar symptoms and the cause is the same, but no actual celiac. Check out The Primal Blueprint to see all the research in one place about gluten/grain intolerance and the poison known as sugar
