Weeeeeeeeeeellllllllllllllllllllllll, Kelly and I went on a short drive this afternoon. She was bored (what 15 year old that is grounded isn't bored). We were gone 30 minutes. I told Laura we would have supper when we got home. Mike is working a ton of hours this week, so tonight is an "eat what strikes your fancy because Mom isn't cooking" night.
So, we got back home, and there was a burned food smell in the air. Laura had been busy while we were gone.
She proceeded to tell me she had taken the dog out, washed the dog's bowl so Kelly could fix the dog's food, then fixed and took her own Miralax, and then tried to fix a Lean Cuisine pizza. That "didn't look good" and "I not want that anymore", she then fixed a jelly sandwich, mashed potatoes and gravy (left overs from KFC), cantaloupe, grapes and saltines for her dinner. I asked her to show me how she cooked the pizza, and she showed me 2:30 on the microwave. Judging by the black disk in the trash, I have a feeling it was 23:00. Thank goodness nothing caught on fire.
So we had another talk about not cooking yet when Mom isn't home. And if she gets the urge, to call me on my cell phone. When I said that, she walked over to the dining room table, and picked up my cell phone and said "I did call you. Your cell phone here. You forgot your cell phone. Again. You always forget your cell phone. Don't do that again."
So, I have been told.....again. Luckily everything turned out okay. And she has a relatively healthy supper to eat, thanks to her love of fruit.
Independence, gotta love it!
