Hi Everyone, so my latest question is that ever since Noah was even in the womb in fact we would hear popping sounds ( like cracking your knuckles), now that he is here we noticed that since day one it is actually his joints popping. Like his hip and feet, hands. It doesn't seem to hurt him at all. In fact nothing really hurts him. I bumped his head pretty hard on the headboard of the bed twice ( once I did, the next time my husband did), and he didn't even cry at all. That is another issue though. So wondering if anyone knows why and what this could be?? Also getting his vaccinations today and we are just going to have them do one today, I think someone suggested the dtap ( diptheria, etc.) shot. Does that sound good?

Brook's joints made a funny sound too when she was little like Noah. The PT said it was from low mussle tone. We just did LOTS of "excerises" and pretty soon her mussle tone was great She did have a full body x-ray when she was in the big hospital when she was first born for what I can't remember. I think for hip displasia (sp). Someone out here will have more info i'm sure! You should ask the doc when you go today sence i'm no doctor

Think it's pretty common. When Nicholas was really little, it used to be his neck and back a LOT, about drove me nuts! But like you said, didn't phase him at all.
His knees also do it, and he will actually pop them in and out on purpose now sometimes! I'm assuming he'll eventually outgrow that, too, like he did the neck/back.

I notice Cassie has a high tolerance to pain as well. She is very double jointed in the thumbs. So I guess your first shots come in 2 needles too. You are only getting one done? I would rather get them both done and over with..... and I hate needles. We are still putting off a blood test for thyroid. I hate to get that done. I hated needles as a kid so it makes me sick to have to take Cassie to get her shots or blood work done. Boo Hoo

Damara's joints "pop" all the time. Her hips, knees, sholders. She is extremly flexible (typical) we had her checked out by a ortho, they did a complete set of x-rays and she is fine. Just from low muscle tone. We have kinda gotten use to it. and with age it has gotten better! I hope not to offend anyone, but we like to refer to her as "gumby" because she is so flexible. It blows us away the way she can move her self into strange positions!
