I have posted many times about our difficulties with this issue. When Ryan was 3 we started. We used pull ups and a schedule. It was hit and miss. When he was 5 we switched to underwear. He stayed dry during the night, but we constantly had to drag (literally) him into the bathroom during the day. If we waited too long, he would have an accident. We tried a lot of things. If he wet himself, he had to change himself. That didn't matter. I tried the intense training (one day job) which was ridiculous. After being tired of the constant begging and dragging, I recently went back to just leaving him alone. It's been about six weeks now and he goes in when he needs to - pee and poop! He has some minor leakage but overall he's cured!!! I look back on this and other issues we have and think how hard "I" work to help Ryan. I think sometimes I just need to take a step back and reevaluate. Just thought I would share a "success" and "lesson learned" thread Jodi

jodi- your experience seems to support MB theory of leaving them alone and letting the initiate their bathroom time. Great that it worked for you and that you're all done with the struggle.!! Great for Ryan! cindy
