Okay, I don't know what is going on but for the last two months, Ryan has been having chronic small accidents (hence the title of the thread). He is not emptying his bladder, he actually does that in the toilet. Doesn't matter what we are doing either and it is becoming very frustrating!!! Ryan will be 9 in June, stays dry through the night, and knows the whole bathroom biz.
Whenever he is wet, he has to change his own clothes, put the wet stuff in the dirty clothes hamper, and get dressed by himself. He went months without an accident, and now all the sudden he is having 5-10 wet undies a day! I tell him he can't sit on my couch or my floor if he is wet (when I catch him, anyway). I've asked him if there is anything wrong (does something hurt?) and he always says no. It is similar to before he was trained, except we have made him completely responsible for his accidents now.
I want to scream!!!

Greg had this trouble so we went to the Dr. (urologist). It was an imbalance of muscle tone (which he outgrew). The bladder muscles were stronger that he the sphincter muscle that hold the urine in. The Dr. prescribed ditropan. It relaxes the bladder muscle.
The first thing the Dr. checked was for infection. He also checked that he could empty his bladder all the way (via ultrasound).

Jodi, Collin is 7 and we have been dealing with this for the last 2 years. This comes and goes with him he will be dry for 7-8 months then all of a sudden for no reason he will start dampening himself...just like a steady leaky faucet for a 6-8 week period. While not every day it's really enough to annoy me. Then as sudden as it starts its gone again. We have yet to figure it out. We handle it the same way you do. He is responsible for changing his own clothes and putting them where they go etc...He initiates this on his own without me even having to prompt him.
