Good idea on the bra...we're not there yet! I have noticed that she has trouble keeping the straps of her swimsuit on her shoulders if they don't criss-cross in the back.

Bras, other than sports bras, are next to impossible for Emily. So, we have been connecting them in the back and letting her just pull them on like a sports bra.
And, LOL no no no to the thong idea!!!

Chris is and luckily has been great with all types of buttons, snaps, zippers. He actually is a bit over board making sure everything is on just right. Go figure and he is a boy Hmmm LOLOL Our problem is we need more variety in wide shoes and pants that come in much shorter lengths. Luckily the 30" length are working pretty good these days for him. But the shorts even thou the young guys wear them longer these days OMG they are so long on Chris CC ~

oh darn...I just saw this Steffi..... I hope I am not too late with input. Chase cant button and will probably never be able to do it. Besides having no fine motor skills, some of the meds he takes has caused his handwriting to become illegible, (maybe Laurie MM mom can explain that one to me) and I think it must make it bad for his ability to fasten clothes also, and alas he is a lefty to top it off. Chase also refuses to wear pull on pants anymore...instead only wanting to wear jeans like all the other guys do now. So why do they make jeans with those dumb metal button things? Why not just make them with SNAPS??? He can snap anything in the world...he just cant button. And there is no way to solve this one I fear..... He cant get his ole tallywacker out of the little hole in his boxers (eekks yes I had to have one who wears boxers and it had to be him ) and so he pulls them down, there has to be a better way, there just has to be. He cant tie his shoes either because of the no fine motor skills so they need to make a better selection of pull on shoes, he wants to wear the same cool stuff all the other kids want so they need to help us make it possible. I'm asking for alot arent I??? Finally and this is a HUGE one....they need to invent a thingy majiggy that comes down from the ceiling, grabs the child and stuff him into his clothes so I dont have to fight to get him up and dressed every morning, it would make life so much more pleasant for me I love you girl, kiss that girl of yours for me and hug Jeff and Kyle Robin

Sorry Steph but this thread is officially Hijacked Robin, What do you mean he can't get his "thingy" out of the little hole?!?!? My Big, Little and those in between boys don't ever use those and they don't pull them all the way down...including Collin unless he's sitting. They just pull the top of the elastic down until it pops out. Then they shake it off and off they go!!! I always thought those holes where just for looks...you mean they are suppose to use them. OH NO...we aren't even going there!!! Connie

OMG, you guys are too funny.
My response pretty much ditto's CC's. Even the going overboard thing. When he wears a polo shirt with the three buttons, we send him off with just the bottom two buttoned. It never fails he comes home with the top one done - totally nerdy looking. Unfortunately, one year I had picked one of those shirts for his class picture . . .
Funny that you said you wished jeans were snaps Robin, because Jason can't wear those kind. Jason has the 'old man' gut and if he wears pants with a snap - well, POP! Aggravates the hell out of him too!!! LOL
As a reminder to those of you that zip, button, etc., for your kids (I know, most are still young and it's a challenge for them), once we showed Jason how to zip his coat one time . . . well MIRACULOUSLY he could do it from then one . . . thinking he knew all along how to do it - but hey, why do it yourself when someone else will do it for you?! LOL

Elastic waist bands and velcro are nice. Ryan is 9, and still does not button, snap or tie his clothes/shoes.
