; ;DD ;D ;D ;D Hi Unomasers.... omg... I have to share something that is working amazing wonders for Olivia sleep and overall demeanor. For the last 5 days we tried breathe right strips at night for her. OMG she loves em wakes up happy alert and moving. The first day my husband took her to school and allegedly 4got to take it off. We got a call about 20 minutes after she got to school to ask if they could take it off. We anyhow, she sleeps and does not move fidget toss n turn and I hear nothing when she is sleeping no noises. My God something so simple thats working major miracles in all aspects of Olivia especially her as of late cranky cranky demeanor.I was beginning to think they were gonna hafta commit me. My mom had her a few hrs last weekend and she managed to lock my mom in her bedroom and NOT let her out for quite some time while my sister was cracking up on the other line of the phone with my mom. Then she took all her turtles lettuce and proceeded to spread it all over her upstairs room. Just a mile a minute of eternal naughtiness very very exasperating. We had taken away soccer practice which was a last resort with which she was so upset and were in the process of comtacting the regional center regarding a behaviorist. And this simple little strip seems to be the answer to a lot of her woes. Shes a HUGE tosser and turner and find her sitting up in the morning. Not now. I sound like a commercial. The only pitfall is removing the sucker as they are strong lemme tell you. But thought I'd share this tidbit cause its easy to try and not meds. (((HUGS))) Steff

That's great you found something that could help her!!! You think maybe she has sleep apnea???
Too funny about locking your mom in her room - AND having your sister laughing on the phone about it!!! LOL

I am glad you are finding something that seems to be working. I have to agree with Jessie though, she has classic sleep apnea symptoms. Has she ever had a sleep study?? Untreated apnea can lead to a huge range of health issues including behaviour.Hannah has been on CPAP for five months and it is making a huge difference for her.

My daughter is also a restless sleeper. But not every night. We had TT&A surgery and that did help a lot. I did think about using the strips, but she is only 5 years old. How old is your daughter? Thanks Valerie

Hi u all... Olivia is 5 and I woulda used em on her at 5 if I had thought about it. She too had t n a surgery at 4. Also I wanted to add something regarding the apnea issues. Olivia is sent for overnight sleep studies evert other year. She does not have central apnea . She gets low 02 at night which I beleieve is due to her tiny ariways and her old airway obstructi0on(vascular ring) which was repaired when she was a baby. Her pulmonary doc will be pleased I am sure at the difference its making. Also lol if they work write the company and ask for coupons and any extra assistance if they would. I wrote to em yesterday asking em and telling all the fabulous things I told u. Also removal tip. I take a Q-tip drench it in baby oil get it underneath the strip a bit then u don't hafta rip your kids skin off which I made the mistake of doing the first time. Liv has gorgeous but thin skin and thankfull the first time I removed it I didn't take her skin off. LOL C ya (((HUGS)))) Oh Lord soccer all day and all day tomorrow. One day my frineds I will sleep in one day. sigh Steff
