Hey all, I just love reading & I apologize in advance for ALWAYS posting in this folder...but I love books & love passing them on.... I just finished reading this book By Elizaberh Burns and WOW....I think I cried the whole way through & could not put it down. It is about a young married woman with 2 small girls. Two very close family members pass away within a year of each other, her husband turns bipolar and her oldest daughter is diagnosed with Autism. I could relate to in the way of thinking "I just can't have one more thing go wrong right now". The book is OBVIOUSLY pretty emotional and honest....so read it being for-warned. It is NOT A FEEL GOOD BOOK !! I'd love to hear any opinons after you've read it ! www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1402200412/qid=1112661333/sr=2-3/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_3/102-6530291-5324958

Thanks Allisa.. I'll put it on my wish list which is my way of remembering which books I want to try and find at the library or through inter libray loan!! You might l ike the great book I just finished "The Ha-Ha" by Dave King.. it's brand new, has gotten great reviews, I just loved it. It's about a man who suffered a brain injury in Vietnam and can form thoughts but can't utter them...having a Gabe in my life I can SO relate!! It's one of those wonderful novels that make you think.... gee.. there are some really wonderful works of fiction nowadays! I'm as bad as you when it comes to reading.. maybe we should swap our lists? Thanks for the heads up on this one!!! ;D

Too bad. The excert that they had was all about her fickle husband--- not exactly what I had hoped to read. Too bad they add sex to all the novels today.

Allisa, THANK you for this book title..... I LOVED It too!! Oh man I just ate it up and have a hard time thinking of what were my favorite parts. (Well the support group parts were fantastic ; just like UNO!! ) It is as you say a painful book to read and HOW could any person go through one more thing as you say?? But so beautfully written and the wit, tho sharp edged is wonderful. Got any more for me??

I am in the middle of this book now and have to say at first I almost didn't want to continue Found this author to jump around way to much BUT I held on and now I don't want to put it down Not finished yet but NOW I am loving this book, not sure I want it to end. Just took me awhile to get use to the way this author jumps from one thing to another, least how I see it Glad you posted bout this book CC ~

ps......in response to a previous post regarding sex in the book......hhmmm..... I don't recall it being very sexual at all !! There was one tiny part I think I remember...but nothing I think that would offend anyone !
pps.....Debi....I'd definitely swap "lists" with you....IF i was organized enough to have a good list !! LOL I usually find one author I LOVE and read all their books then move onto the next.....I'll put together a list and would love to see yours !! I'm always looking for more & more !

The book sounds interesting.
I am reading a book about the Civil War. I have read several but they are fiction. This book is titled, Charleston by John Jakes. It is good so far. I like those that have several major character's instead of one to follow but this book is good so far. I like historical novels as well as novel's of the present but it is hard to find the books I like. I read anything that has a good cover on it! ;D
