Michele - you all are in my thoughts and prayers....my brother is in Tampa as well, I spoke to him last night and he's more worried about the flooding in his backyard...he said it's like a swamp! I guess he is further inland? (not very good at geography, LOL) my sis-in-law (his wife) is on business in Tallahassee so unless they let her come home early, i guess he and my nephew will be on their own all weekend. stay safe! laurie

Michele,
Hoping you and your family stay safe and dry as the storm passes over you all.
My sister-in-law and her family are up here in Buffalo, NY this week for my brother-in-law's wedding tomorrow and are very concerned about their home as well. They too live in the Tampa Bay area.
Post up and let us know you're ok!

There must be a huge halo over tampa/st.petersburg.....This thing has danced all around us and we are not in the clear yet..Expected tropical force wind tonight....But, we feel that we have made it thru the worst and thank the heavens above that we did not get what we were supposed to. Although, I feel terrible for those who got the worst of it..
LINDY< Honey you are getting quite a beating right now according to the news here in St. Petersburg..I hope that you and your family are safe in a shelter..I am sending positive thoughts and tons of prayers to you and your family...Boy, do I ever know how freaked out you are...Please let us know how you are.
Like I said by the grace of god we are all fin so far and praying that it just keeps on going..
Thanks for the positive thoughts and prayers...I really needed those.
Michele

We are ok. It turned soon enough. We had to evacuate still but all the shelters closed and they lifted the evacuation order. All we ended up with was some rain.
