Dave is "minding" his brothers motorbike while bro is on holidays. Dave is like a big kid, riding to work, going out in the evenings. Bearing in mind he used to have a bike and I used to ride pillion, bout 20 years ago, he persuaded me to go on the back on Sunday Of course I had to try - kids couldn't stop laughing. Got all the gear on, looked like the michelin man (felt like him too, actually think I WAS the michelin man) and ROFL, had to get Dave to bring bike to the curb so that I could climb on!!!! Well, it's a big bike, k - ducatti something or other that's all I know. Kids waved us off laughing and we only got to the top of the road when I changed my mind - HELP, I wanted to get off!!! But just couldn't face Simon's ridicule (he's 16) so just hung on for dear life!
We were going to hospital to see my Dad and when we pulled up outside, security guy came out to tell us we couldn't park there - I pointed out that "I'M JUST TRYING TO GET OFF K!" Would have found it funny if only I could have watched the spectacle! Think I prayed most of the way there (mainly that I wouldn't end up in a bed next to my Dad) and before we set off I told Dave he was to take it easy as I didn't want to orphan our children - he said "the families would be fighting over them" I said "Yes and it would be NO YOU CAN HAVE THEM! NO YOU CAN!"
Anyway I lived to tell the tale and have no wish to relive the experience. I have definitely outgrown the thrill of biking. I think once you have kids the fear and responsibility kicks in. Mind you Dave isn't affected too much, can't get him off it (Simon too pesters him constantly to take him out on it) and now he doesn't want to give it back! Have explained p-a-t-i-e-n-t-l-y that HE HAS TO! lol
