Just letting you all know that evaluations for Alethea begin tomorrow at 11am. We have 2 evals tomorrow, one on Friday and the final one next Wed. Wish us luck! Just hoping Alethea is better than today. Boy was she a miserable little girl today, but she is still the cutest thing I've ever seen! Val

GOOOOOOOD LUCK!!!!! I am in the process of my certificate for becoming a parent mentor or advocate for a agency here in MO and I was going to take a class last Tues... "going from Part C to B".. which is basically transitioning out of IFSP into the IEP world... but it got cancelled. So, I want to learn more about all of it! I don't NEED it to get certified but I do need to take it sooner or later... So.. keep me posted... I may have questions for you one day! A.

First set down. We had speech and social services (not even sure if that is what it is called) evals today. Anyway, I'm impressed so far. They taught Alethea some things in her speech eval that she has never had to do with EI speech. Alethea came back ready to show off and had a great time playing with the ST.
So far... with all of my dealings with the district for Alethea, it really appears they are doing what is best for her. Really!!! I've asked questions about what services they'll provide, who'll they'll have in the classroom with her, if they'll have someone who signs so Alethea will be understood, etc. All standard questions from my perspective, all great acceptable answers!!!
I hope it continues!
