Tongue in cheek of course, I love Laura's gains in independence. However, this morning, she was up early as always. When I stumble out of my room (and I am in no way a morning person), she greets me with a huge smile and the following conversation: L: Morning Mamma Mia (her new name for me). You look beautiful (yeah right, but who am I to argue?) M: Morning Laura L: Mom, I took my pill all by myself. M: (after checking the pack quickly), Laura, that is great, good job. L: I also did my mix with my V8 M: (who is now completely awake) What did you do? L: I did my mix, stir with my V8. M: (picking up the bottle of Miralax), Laura, is this what you mixed? L: Yes, all by myself! M: Laura, tell me what you did. L: I pour my V8, and pour powder in and stir. M: Did you pour the powder in the cap? L: Mom (with attitude and eyes rolling) I did all by myself. M: Laura, good job, but this is important medicine, and Mom needs to watch you do this one. You can do it yourself, but I need to watch. L: Okay Mamma Mia, I want a biscuit for breakfast. So, I guess I will be letting her do her own Miralax from now on. I guess she needs to anyway, and I can watch her to make sure she is doing it correctly. Of course, my concern for today is---just how much powder did she put in her V8? She watches me do it all the time, so chances are good that she did it correctly. I guess time, and the sound of flushing, will ultimately tell! Sharon (aka Mamma Mia )

And she drinks V8. Good for her. But yeah, you need to make sure she's not overdosing on Miralax, could get messy. Bob

Bob, what is funny is that I have never tasted V8. Tomato juice, yes, but I can only take so much of that. My mom got Laura started on V8 this summer when she had the girls. And Laura doesn't fuss, she says she likes it. Like I said, who am I to argue? (and of course, why would I).
Maybe one of these days I will break down and try it, like Laura says "its healfy"

I like V8. Some people like the spicy version. I also like Bloody Mary's, would like one now. Bob

750 ml vodka 46 oz can V8® vegetable juice 3 tbsp white horseradish 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce 3 tbsp fresh lime juice 1 tbsp Tabasco® sauce 1 1/2 tsp celery salt 1 tsp ground red cayenne peppers

Better hide your CAR KEYS!... ;D This is funny....thanks for sharing.
As to V8...try it...you will love it...too bad it has such a yuky name cuz its really good...and good and full of sodium too...LOL.
But I like it so much that I even drink the low sodium version. Em loves it too...even without vodka.

I think that is great! Laura learned by watching you. Personally, I could never stand to drink V8. I tried to drink it once, it was Mom's V8, but, whew, it really tasted horrible! My boy-friend, Steve, likes it. He drinks the differently flavored V8...........Debbie
