well, we have wind gust up to 65 mph tonight....its been really scary-looking and sounding here in Ohio since about 6:00pm. The clouds have been black and fast moving. Then the winds cranked up...yikes! I can't imagine what it was like in Texas!
we still have power, but the areas surrounding us don't. And boy, is this a bad night to be without cable....the STEELER/BROWNS brawl is on Sunday night football. Big rivalry in our part of town. I'm a STEELER fan myself, and they are leading so I'm happy! but that seems so unimportant right now...
my thoughts and prayers go out to the people of Texas and whoever else is getting hit by "IKE".

Us too, Dolly! We got over SIX inches of rain in my area in Michigan! The winds were only up to 45 mph, but the rain was amazing!

Things have settled down here...we had alot of school closing due to power outages.
One guy from the electric company said he had never seen such wide-spread damages since he started working 40 years ago! We didn't get the rain, (only a few downpours), but the wind was so powerful! We were very lucky...we still have power and our trees are still around. The force of nature is very humbling...
