I already have chocolates & roses - delivered ahead for v-day. DH is on the ball I got him a little something too. He usually comes home on v-day with little heart-shaped boxes of chocolates for the kids. Sweet.

We love our Wii! We started with the original sports pack that comes with it. It has bowling, golf, tennis, baseball & boxing. We have Wario Smooth Moves which is very fun & great for laughs. Then for Christmas this year we got Dance, Dance Revolution & Guitar Hero III. We just got a second guitar for it so that we can have duels & duets. It is so much fun. Even my very un-coordinated Katie eventually does well on all of the games - it just takes her longer to get there

Thanks for the update, Sharon. Sounds like you are well on your way to much improved mobility. Love the description of Laura's wariness Sweet that she overcomes her anxiety enough to give you hugs, however brief. Chris too

So tomorrow is the big day. I will continue to pray for you. I just love it that Susan is so positive about the whole thing because I remember how nervous she was too, and now look at her!
Best wishes for tomorrow! Chris too

Awww. {{Hugs}} to you. I'm so sorry you are having to see your dh go through such hard times. Do talk to the docs about alternatives that might help him feel better. If you pose the question that way, you may get some ideas from the pros. I would think that some vitamin regimen would improve his overall health, and maybe there are some herbals that would be safe & offer at least a chance of improving his situation. Be pushy & let them know that you won't try anything w/o their ok, and that you are only interested in things that absolutely will NOT counteract his meds that has a chance of improving his general health & well-being. As long as they don't see you as some sort of whack-job, they should be able to give some suggestions - at least for a vitamin regimen. Such a bummer! More ((((hugs)))) Chris too dd#3 just asked me if your Brook was Stevie Oh and dd#1 just looked over my shoulder "That looks like Stevie"

Yep. I take fenugreek for bladder infections - haven't had to take antibiotics for ages! I also take echinasia & goldenseal to help me get over colds -n- stuff.
Be careful about the herbs, though, they are just unregulated drugs - which means they have no quality control outside of the company's reputation, and there has been inadequate testing done on their effectiveness/side effects. Talk to his doc & maybe get a referral to a homeopathic doctor or nurse before you give him anything. They may counteract the effectiveness of his non-herbal meds, too.

Ooooh! Ahhhh! So beautiful & tasty! Thanks Tammy for this lovely tour I was going to ask about the Gallengal - I cook with lots of spices, but I'd never heard of it before. BTW, thanks for including one of you holding your mangoes It's great to get to put a face to the name - makes me want to try mangoes again. Chris too

Oh, I do love that one. I sent links to all my loved ones when I first read it. Although I do wonder if my Stevie will ever like Barry Manilow - 'cause she's a real, good-time rock-n-roller right now (Stones, Joplin, Foghat, etc) she shows no interest whatsoever to even "Lola". She's such an individual!

Stevie when she was still on the ng tube (shown here without it - Had to replace it weekly & took pics then ) She's about 4 months old here & very skinny. Then... and now. Check out how those thighs have filled out! This one was taken in Oct 07, but it's about right. She's gone right off the charts for both height & weight for girls with Ds Thanks Bob for this thread. I'm sorry I saw this so late. Prayers being said anyway. Post up when you can to let us know how he did.
You can even post these to the general forum - I don't think anybody has ever been criticized for it here. That way more will see it (meaning blind me).
