Hey all!! Been MIA for a bit so sorry I missed this! Great Idea Tricia - my fellow pack-ratter! ;D

Linda - Adam's Mom (he's 7 years old) - We're in Western NY

-- Right now he doesn't qualify for Medicaide/ Medicare or SSI .... Although from birth to 5 all services were paid in full by the County Health Dept & at age 5 his services are covered thru the Local School District....

I guess in reading some of these posts that maybe is NOT true in other states??

he has Medicaid and SSI; also work with CARD for the Autism.

hello again. i am sue from williamsburg ,ohio near cincinnati. i was told i do not quaify for medicaid. my daughter gets ssi from her father who is alot older than me and was able to draw on his ssi. so samantha gets a check every month for that. i usally use that for her head start pre school. i pay for all insurances health dental and etc. they told me i make to much money . well i am a single mom. when samantha jo would to start walking she is going to have to wear special inserts for her high tops shoes so she can walk. her feet turn in alot on one foot. she is getting better at standing. when i tried to get ssi for samantha they told me she could not get ssi. how does this waiver thing work. i tried to contact medicaid 1-800- number for ohio and it was a wrong number. samantha does not have alot of bills right now so i do not even know if i could get a waiver for my income base to get medicaid card for her. if anyone can help please do . sue

we live in Mid michigan
he gets the childrens waiver with medicaid thru mental health because of his behaviors, our income is not counted in this program and most mental healths have this program I assume
