So we've been working on writing Brooks name. She is no where near doing the b,r, or k, o's sure, but thats it. Practice makes perfect right? So as you know Brook does not have an *e* on the end of her name. People ask why and I tell them that daddy named her after a fish, Brook Trout. (her middle name is not Trout...LOL ) Anyway so were practicing our letters yesterday. I got up to anwser the phone and I came back to this. I didn't know she could write an *e* let alone put it in the correct spot to spell Brook*e*. How silly Yes I changed the title. I don't want people to think Brook ran away and give them a stroke like poor Sheryl. Love ya Sheryl.

I know this sounds silly, but try cursive. I have to admit, John flows easier than Brook. Or was that Miss trout I like her name! Pat

Cursive? How would I teach someone to do cursive? We just got done with lines and circles. Got any hints ?? Does anyone have any good printing advise too? What I do is write it in the big letters and have her trace it? I also have sheets w/ abc's on them with dot to dot. She likes doing dot's

Handwriting without tears.com? Or something like that. I think they have programs for printing and cursive. But man! She's doing WELL already!

Wow.... Can Brook come and help Alison with writing her name?!?!? Alison does ok with it, but is really more interested in cursive writing. She'll start a school worksheet out printing and it evolves ino her version of cursive! Tells me "I'm writing like big girls". At school, they do a kind of dot-to-dot for her to follow on words she is unfamiliar with. Works pretty well until she decides to "write" her answers.
Great job Brook with no "e"!!!

Barb, cursive too? I'm really thinking this will be helpful to know. I'm going to go check out the handwrighting w/o tears sight and see what they have too OMGoodness Sheryl, Brook is here and fine. But if God forbid she was missing you'd be hearing me scream all the way over there. She escaped out the office door one day and was 15 ft away..... FREEEEEK OUT....... things are screwed down and screwed shut around here now

Oh no Lorainne, Brook can't do her name. The only thing she did was the *e*. We practice tracing mom's letters. If Brook could write her name i'd be gobsmaked too. What is that anyway...LOL
