Ya know, I was looking at some other dolls that are supposed to resemble children with DS. What's wrong with depicting them with a smile, like most dolls??? These kids smile just as much as other children (or maybe more). I agree . . . this one looks a little creepy.

I never will understand how these people think these dolls look like our kids...I really want to see the child that these people have spent time with to think our kids look like that!

It almost makes you wnat to buy a doll JUST TO GET IT OFF THE INTERNET !! But then she;ll mistake the offers as demand for more ! LOL As far as the lady selling hte ultrasound picture....well now I've really heard it all !! I'm sorry.....but that is obviously a SCAM....If you were truly "overcome with peace & joy" at seeing that "image"....you wouldn't make other people PAY to see it !! You'd be so thilled to have anyone see it ...you'd broadcast it all over ! It is horrible how some people with play with emotions to make a buck !

First, the dolls - OMG, I cracked up - I think that artist needs to visit this site and look at all of the CUTE kids' pictures on here. Second, that one with the ultrasound - now that whole thing is creepy. Why would someone put their story on Ebay? And, uh, I think she might be in denial about her child having Ds . . . what do you guys think? I think he looks like he's got some strong physical characteristics of Ds.

I wonder why it is that these artists cannot capture the essence of our kids? Is it too special?

CC, I showed that picture to my husband, and he said the same thing you did. He doesn't know why there's a DS doll, either! I'm guessing it's like having Asian dolls or Indian dolls, etc.. in case a child of that descent would like to have a doll that looks like them. But this one definitely does NOT look like any of the little cuties I've seen posted on this site!!!

Oh, and for the record, I never had a doll who looked like me! Ok, so they had the same color hair or something, but they looked nothing like I actually did. This is all too funny to me!
