Awwww Gals THANKS sooo much for the Positive Thoughts, Chris and I truly appreciate it BUT I guess the "IEP GOD" thinks I need to be tested more as this meeting today was a joke and truly WORSE then I thought it would or could be I just don't have the energy to get into it all but I tell you I am still shaking my head over what took place today and my district if they don't see the light soon have truly set themselves up for a trip to court. All I can say is THANK goodness my advocate was with me to witness this unprofessional lady. Hope you don't mind but I need to SCREAM ... Thanks for listening to me it helps as always Looks like I have some work ahead of me but hey thats OK cause for Chris I will do what ever is necessary. The worst part at the moment is that they will fight me on issues that they have noooooooooo chance of winning but they will fight me. They have done it in the past and I won and I plan on winning this time CC ~

Christie,
It totally SUCKS to fight the same battles over and over, and it is even worse when they fight us over things they KNOW they can't win. I swear they do it just to try to wear us down.
I'm sure you will prevail again, but sorry they're going to make you prove them wrong. It all seems like such a waste of time and energy sometimes. Don't get me wrong, it's never a waste of energy to fight for our kids, but I don't understand why they waste everyone's time starting a fight they can't win. You would think that after awhile they would figure out you are not the kind of parent who is going to back down. Give them H**L girlfriend!

Don't you just wish they'd go along with the program for once? I mean, they're going to have to anyway, right? Sometimes you just get stuck with those people who have blinders on and refuse to see anything outside of how they want things to work. Hopefully they will come to their senses soon.

CC... I am sorry it didn't go well. How very frusterating for you... but we know you CC... you WILL get it done! I agree with Jodi, why DO some districts take this stance when they KNOW, legally, they will have to do it sooner or later...
GO GET EM CC!!!!
A.
p.s VERY cute pic by the way!!! Your kids (cousins included) are VERY CUTE!!!!!!!!!!

Christie- Hey girl! Long time no chat. I am lost in the world of three kids....not sure if I will survive. Saw your post and wanted to see what's going on. I've been a bit discouraged with Kaylee's progress academically-socially she still has a lot of friends - etc, but I'm just trying to figure out what I'm missing on my iep to give her more of a leg up. What are they fighting you on in Chris's? Kaylee is only just reading at a early 1st grade level-but she is sounding out the words finally. She struggles in math when adding numbers over 10 together and just counting correctly numbers over 10. I try not to be discouraged because she enjoys life and friends and yes, even school--and with my almost 2 year old running around I don't really have the time to be discouraged--but you know, just want to do what's best for her. Tell me about Chris's IEP! Kaylee has one more year of elementary (she's 11 finishing 5th grade) then on to jr high. HELP. miss chatting and staying in touch...

CC, I'm a little late responding to this, but truly sorry things didn't go well. I have no experience with IEP's, yet, and not sure if I'm looking forward to them after reading some of the posts on here. Hope everything goes the way you want, without too much of a struggle!!!
