This morning my daughter amazed me. First, she got herself out of bed and was cheerful (rare occurrence in the AM). I ran her a bath and went down to fix her breakfast, and she took over. She washed her body and hair, got herself out of the tub and dried off, picked out a matching outfit and got dressed. Everything was on right and she smelled great. She came downstairs and went straight to the bathroom, where she brushed her teeth without being told. Usually teeth brushing is a major battle. After, she came into the kitchen, got on the stool and ate all of her breakfast. When she was done, she put on her shoes and got her backpack out of the closet, and said, "I'm ready, Mom." I was on time to work for the first time in two weeks. The only thing I had to do for her this morning was comb her hair. I have a feeling this is one of those rare phenomenons that never repeats itself, but I will keep my fingers crossed! Jenifer, mom to Joy Daisy

Wow. Yep, if she were one of ours, I wouldn't be able not to wonder what she was plotting. The 20 year old goth princess loaded the dishwasher last night. Now I'm waiting to hear what she wants this morning. Hope it's nothing worse than gas money. -- Bob

Hey, who cares what the reason was? ENJOY it! That is some incredible behavior for a six year old. I am soooo impressed!
I think Ethan hates it when he shows me he can do new stuff, cuz he's showed his hand, KWIM? Then I expect it to continue, and it becomes the new standard, LOL!!!
Way to go Joy Daisy!!!
