I just finished reading an article that stated she had "began leaking amniotic fluid" prior to her departure for Alaska, but was never in labor and WAS in contact with her OB. The pressure changes are a concern d/t the fact they can CAUSE your water to break... too late to worry about that! So... I guess it was a personal choice whether to go home to her caregiver who knew what to expect, or deliver far away with a stranger. I know that Joby and I chose to deliver where we both work (it was a 2 1/2 hr drive, not as far and as long... but we definately could have done this closer to home) because we knew and TRUSTED our OB. So... obviously we can't begin to know what they were thinking.
The article also stated that Trigg started Physical Therapy at 3 months old. So... I guess she's trusting God to lead her in the right direction and the Therapist to help Trigg follow through!

Yall might find this article interesting....gives some additional facts about Palin's record and actions on disabilities. By the way, the article mentions her nephew with autism. That is her sister's 12 year old son....her sister spoke about her son having special needs with the CNN reporter who sat with she and her husband in Alaska and interviewed them immediately after Sarah's big speech. www.latimes.com/news/politics/la-na-disabled8-2008sep08,0,5707481.story

Bob, thank you for the article link. I believe we all need to see beyond the fact that Palin has a son with Ds and look at what she has and has not done for those with disabilities. The more I hear and read, the more concerned I am that many people will vote with their hearts not their heads and our kids (and others with disabilities) will suffer.
