Hugs and prayers going your way. Adam got RSV at the age of 7 mth. He also had a pneumonia at the time he got it, o we almost lost him, From what I was told then it is dangerous in babies younger then a year old. Still you need to watch for symptoms of pneumonia. Hugs and hope he gets better soon.

I only have certain friends like you on Facebook. I never accept any application like... hugs and flowers and stuff like that. It gets too complicated. And the more applications you have, the more people see you, so you can also get more viruses. Hope this helps.

Our letter has been posted in several newspaper. I am gibing you a link of one of the newspaper that printed our letter this week. I would ask if anyone can go on the link and send some kind of response in support. The more media coverage the better the awareness. Who knows this could have happened to nay child and is probably still happeneing and people need to know. Thanks www.kapuskasingtimes.com/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=1354673

Brings back memories at how cruel some so called professional educational people can be. I would definitely write a letter to the School Board, and, make sure you send one to every Reeves (members) of the Board also. From my past experience if you only send it to the School Board only the President sees it and it usually goes into the garbage. So when you send it write To the attention of All Board members. That way it has to be presented on the agenda, also make sure you send it in registered mail, keep a copy and the receipt form the registration, and if you don't hear anthing within a a month cal them up and demand why they didn't respond to your letter. Make sure you put your postal address on the letter so they have no excuse not to respond and your phone number. If you need any help writting the letter e-mail me.

That is exactly what they have been doing, but no more, that's why we are going to the media, no more passing the buck around while our children get abused. I had a stoke because of all this stress 3 years ago, so as you can imagine that we are not giving up. The way I look at it is: If this happened in a small town where everyone knows everyone and nothing is done can you imagine how many of our kids are abused in the larger cicites? Thanks or you comment.

So sorry for not posting more often but I have been here reading some post at some time. Just wanted to give you all an update on our situation, since for the last 4 years you guys have been so great at letting me vent and have goven me some very helpful links and ideas. Just in case some of you don't remember or know about us, we are a family that has been trying to fight this corrupted system we call Government for 4 years regarding abuse that happened at school when Adam was 6. We went to the Human Rights Comminssion Process and after a year finally got to the mediation process. Now 2 more years went by and we find out our Government has brought in new Policy procedures at the Human Right's Level which will now make it impossible for us to take to to Tribunal for lack of funds. I am pasting you the letter that I have sent to several Newpapers and media in order to at least have some kind of precedent set. I will never forget or forgive what they did to our son but maybe we can stop some other child from going through the same abuse. A Quest For Dignity On June 30, 2008, the human rights system in Ontario began a period of transition. People who believe they have been discriminated against will now file an application directly with the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario. Here is a link to the new policies approved as of June 30th, 2008. www.ohrc.on.ca/en/commission/complaint_processing_guides These changes will affect hundreds maybe thousands of people. Four years ago we believe our child was physically and emotionally abused. We tried to obtain help with different Associations who are suppose to be there to protect our children. No one responded in any form to our requests on regard to our son's mistreatments. Maybe because most of these Associations are funded by the Government ? We have gone through all the channels necessary including mediation process at the Human Right's Commission level, and now because of these new changes nothing will be done . No precedent has been set. So the message our Government is sending is that if you can't afford legal representation for yourself or your child your human right's are non-existent. We are really frustrated with this situation. It has been four years of writing letters and trying our best to get at least an apology for our son, with no success. The reason we are going to the media is that a precedent has to be set, and people need to know to fight for their rights for something as simple as dignity. Why let the Government decide to give free representation to criminals, but then allow a little 6- year- old child with Down syndrome to be treated in such a manner. No one should arbitrarily strip away the dignity of any child and get away with it. We are from a small town which is perhaps why some Associations didn’t seem interested in our situation. We have seen less abuse put TV, but then in the bigger cities these things do not go unnoticed. The reason we didn’t go to the media before is that we believed in our Government and The Canadian Charter of Rights. But our experiences in the last four years have proven that wrong. This fight is not over until all our children can be safe form abuse.
