The water and him become one! it is such fun to see him swim so well! We began at 6 months old with lessons. Cheers! Pamela

Hello! Just got this post from Monica's board. Just to let others know when I wanted a baby with down syndrome, it was because there was one in the hospital for over 5 weeks. I called, and it had been just placed! WELL 2 months later I got a call about Jonathan! He was 5 days old! I took him home by 6 weeks old. Jonathan is now 14 years old! He is such a light and joy of our lives! So when ya put it out there higher powers help clear the mountains, so that the angel can get to you! So I know it will happen for all of you, like it did for me. I also went to Cambodia to pick up a baby girl with a cleft lip and palet. She was 4 months old and is now 8 years old! She is brilliant, and so beautiful! I am just updating my file so I too can have a little one with special needs. About 2.5 years ago I opened our home to a 9 month old baby with achondroplasia. She is wonderful, and such a joy that I decided I want to do this again! So now we await a child from the QUEBEC area! Just put it out there, and watch it happen...>>>>! I am 45, and I just feel like a kid still! I went to the waterslides yesterday with 2 of my kids, and another freinds child. What a blast! Just be a kid at heart, and ya will always feel and be young! Have a ball with your kids, and forget your age! Sending positive thoughts and beliefs to you all! Cheers! ;D Pamela! MOM to Jonathan 14, Charissa 8, and Chanysse 3, all adopted and of asian descent.

Hello Everyone! I have a 14 year old with autism and down syndrome. he is such a light and inspiration in our lives! He has been included in regular schools all his life. he read at about a 7.5 year old level and does very special drawings! I adopted Jonathan, at the age of 6 weeks old. He is of Cambodia decent. I adopted two others children one from Camboda, and the other is of Chinese descent, but came from Quebec. One had a cleft lip and palet and the other has achondroplasia. This look like a great site! ;D Cheers! Pamela Jonathan 14 Charissa 8 Chanysse 3
