Its clear I am for Obama BUT this truly is a Mom question, I promise you that.
I know how lots of you feel about Palin's kids being at the convention and the debate BUT honestly don't any of you wonder why she is having her kids with her 24/7 and not back home in school?
I know in a way this is political as she is running for office BUT honestly I am wondering why the First Dude is not home with the kids and the kids in school?
K, I may not know something like they home school and they are doing it on the bus. So share if you know that to be the case.
I really want to be educated on this

I bet they have tutors on the bus.... not sure, but I think she would have to be accountable for their education....and I'm sure the lovely MEDIA would have certainly picked up on this and raked her over the coals already!

No, I don't wonder that personally but I really haven't given much thought to what you ponder about Palin and her family ;D Only because I guess it all hasn't crossed my mind.... but you have come up with some good "ponderings" LOL
They probably have tutors... just like childhood actors/actresses..... I don't see any different.

I also think it's safe to assume that she is "into" family unity more then seperating her husband/children from herself at this moment... so she is probably choosing unity and homeschooling over NOT seeing her husband and kids because the kids need to be in school. That concept makes sense to me! I think I'd rather homeschool and hire tutors if need be, in order to keep my family together... I could only imagine that having the family apart might make it harder on the family when looking at it from a family unit stand point. I don't doubt for once second that her family is well taken care of in regards to education.

THANKS A~ for the info, I assumed it had to be something like that but I wasn't sure. Will be interesting to see if they continue to home school with the little ones depending on where they end up. My hats go off to all that home school and I mean that LOL I only referred to the Dad as the "First Dude" cause thats what Governor Palin calls him CC~

I would imagine they are also getting an education in politics like no other!!! I did read (I think in People magazine) that she said they would all relocate to DC if they win, except for Bristol. I was kinda wondering if the whole family would follow just because The First Dude seems very much into the Alaskan way of living vs. the DC way of living.

A. www.nbc11news.com/home/headlines/32311804.htmlShe certainly is into family unity and charged Alaska for her kids air fare and hotel room. Personally I don't have a problem with it but when she says she's about reducing costs to tax payers and then charges personal expenses to the state it really seems like a contradiction to me.

Well, I was just commenting on why she might be keeping the family together, not who is paying for it LOL A.

Isn't it cool that history is unfolding right in her own family. I am sure they are being schooled one way or another. I'd probably do the same. What an experience.

Nope. I don't wonder about that. I would wonder about it if she did NOT choose to have them with her as much as possible. After the media coverage about the cost of flying her children from Alaska, I can just imagine what it would be like if she chose to send them back home and then back to DC for visits periodically. My kids would be with me too.

Listen, if I may just say this one thing. Four years ago, I stopped posting on this board because of heated discussions and bashing about the election. While I have still come back to read, I will never forget the things that were said to me regarding my opinions on one candidate or another. It would be a shame to lose anyone else on this board.
I feel that the moderators have done such a great job keeping these threads in check, as well as the people posting them. We all have different opinions. Everyone's opinon on change is not, and never will be the same. Just as we ask others to accept our kids differences, I think we need to be open minded enough to accept each others differences as well. As said before, this is the best thing about the USA.
Debbie....who is staying out of these threads, but wanted to share a real experience of hurt to try and spare others the same.
