Jeff, Thanks so much for understanding and for deleting your last response. It's just too easy for us to misunderstand others and to be misunderstood online. And we all care too much about each other as friends and "family" to do that.

Leaping Lizards Batman!!!!!! tis me, your side kick Robin!!! Wow did i come back just in time to read my first post and have it be about you and my sweet DIL to be!!!! I am so impressed with your handle on the situation Qsie!!! I would love to be able to say I would of did as well, but I think not. I am so proud of you!!!! After reading your post and sniffling, I then had to chuckle, Susan, Chase is doing the EXACT same thing as his bride to be!!! It is a new thing, he closes his eyes and enjoys the heck out of his food, as if savoring every bite! I was thinking it was sweet, hmmmm, you now have me rethinking it, never stopped to think others might find him strange eating that way. It is kind of like the expression we have on our faces when we taste Jello Jacj's kahlua pudding shots ;D Huggers to you and my baby girl, and BTW..I hope you didnt share that with the boys, it would serve no purpose for them to know others are laughing at their sweet sister. huggers Sus, Robin, Mom to your future SIL

Susan, I think you handled this MARVELOUSLY. And while I can see why you felt so uncomfortable and I don't know how I would react myself in that situation, I think the Dad probably acted on the spur of the moment, didn't think it out and just wanted to deal with his kids' cruel behaviour there and then and didn't intend to cause you discomfort, embarrassment or pain. I think his intentions were good and brave as he didn't know how you would react, or that you wouldn't turn on him and blame him for his kids' behaviour.
So I do think both you and the Dad are to be applauded, but especially YOU - WTG!!!!!!!
