Hey all....just sending a note to ask you all to send a small prayer my way.....nothing too urgent....health on every one is fine and that is truly the most important....but just hitting a rough patch over here. Financial and business woes are getting the better of me and I could use a little spiritual uplift. I know that "this, too shall pass" but the quicker the pass the better. Thanks for thinking of me....

I'm not usually paranoid about these things happening, but htought I'd post just to remind us all to be aware !
NEW WAY TO CAR JACK (NOT A JOKE) Please keep this circulating... You walk across the parking lot, unlock your car, and get inside. Then you start the engine and shift into REVERSE, and you look into the rearview mirror to back out of your parking space and you notice a piece of paper stuck to the middle of the rear window. So, you shift into PARK, unlock your doors and jump out of your car to remove that paper (or whatever it is) that is obstructing your view. When you reach the back of your car, that is when the car-jackers appear out of nowhere, jump into your car and take off! Your engine was running and they practically mow you down as they speed off in your car. And guess what ladies? I bet your purse is still in the car... BE AWARE OF THIS NEW SCHEME THAT IS NOW BEING USED. Just drive away and remove the paper that is stuck to your window later, and be thankful that you read this email.. I hope you will forward this to friends and family... especially to women! A purse contains all of your identification, and you certainly do NOT want someone getting your home address. They already HAVE your keys! Lieutenant Tony Bartolome Bureau of Investigations Florida Highway Patrol P.O. Box 593527 Orlando, FL 32859

Hi all, we just saw this the other day, too....It was really good. The violence was kept to a minumim and by that I mean that there were battle scenes and of course the one big scene where a very main charactar is klilled ( I won't say for those who want to see )..... But they manage to NOT show blood & gore....but the kids are definitely aware of what has happened......could have used a PG-13 rating in my opinion...not PG.....but all in all it gets 2 thumbs up from our family !!

I agree, Trish...I was unimpressed when I saw that one....I managed to get a 7 inch DVD player on Black Friday....for $60.....the one Toys R Us had is only 3 and 1/2 inches.....pretty small !

Isn't that the beauty of the IEP....INDIVIDUAL, INDIVIDUAL !! You are so right to worry about the squeezed time...there is no way he is getting all he needs in that tiny window. Bu can't they work at all with his scheudle ? .....such as a 4 or 5 hour day..... 8:30 - 1:00 or 11:30 - 3:00.... something like that ? I ALWAYS wanted Erin there for lunch because feeding skills were an issue with us and I really wanted her to get a lot of support in that area. Now maybe with a modified schedule the bus wouldn't be an option....but perhaps if you agreeed to drive one way, maybe it would work....at least be a good transition until he is ready to switch to full day. Good luck & let us know !!

This was a trip down memory lane for me....I vividly remember sitting with my finger poised over the "record" button on my Boom Box.....waiting for the DJ to stop talking so I could record and not miss too much of the intro ! That and the video games.....just getting harder & faster until you Died.....just like Life... !! I do bore my kids to tears with stories of Christmas Movies.....remember how every year you looked forward to them....because 1. ) there were no regular shows for us to watch daily & become spoiled ! and 2.) you knew if you missed a Christmas movie...you would never see it again for another whole year....these kids today....they think big deal...I've got a portable DVD player....and I'll watch it in the car on the way to Grandma's !
sighhhhhh kids today !

If you are 30 or older you will think this is hilarious!!!! There is some "questionable language here"....my apologies ! Read on....
When I was a kid, adults used to bore me to tears with their tedious diatribes about how hard things were when they were growing up; what with walking twenty-five miles to school every morning... uphill BOTH ways... through year 'round blizzards; carrying their younger siblings on their backs ... to their one-room schoolhouse, where they maintained a Straight-A average, despite their full-time, after-school job at the local textile mill... where they worked for 35 cents an hour just to help keep their family from starving to death! And I remember promising myself that when I grew up, there was no way in hell I was going to lay a bunch of crap like that on kids about how hard I had it and how easy they've got it!
But now that I'm over the ripe old age of thirty, can't help but look around and notice the youth of today. You've got it so easy! I mean, compared to my childhood, you live in a d**n Utopia! And I hate to say it but you kids today you don't know how good you've got it! I mean, when I was a kid we didn't have the Internet. If we wanted to know something, we had to go to the d**n library and look it up ourselves, in the card catalog!!
There was no email! We had to actually write somebody a letter . with a pen! Then you had to walk all the way across the street and put it in the mailbox and it would take like a week to get there!
There were no MP3's or Napsters! You wanted to stea lmusic, you had to hitchhike to the d**n record store and shoplift it yourself! Or you had to wait around all day to tape it off the radio and the DJ'd usually talk over the beginning and @#*% it all up!
We didn't have fancy crap like Call Waiting! If you were on the phone and somebody else called they got a busy signal, that's it! And we didn't have fancy Caller ID Boxes either! When the phone rang, you had no idea who it was! It could be your school, your mom, your boss, your bookie, your drug dealer, a collections agent, you just didn't know!!! You had to pick it up and take your chances, mister! We didn't have any fancy Sony Playstation video games with high-resolution 3-D graphics! We had the Atari 2600! With games like "Space Invaders" and "Asteroids" and the graphics sucked ass! Your guy was a littl e square! You actually had to use your imagination! And there were no multiple levels or screens, it was just one screen forever! And you could never win. The game just kept getting harder and harder and faster and faster until you died! Just like LIFE! When you went to the movie theater there no such thing as stadium seating! All the seats were the same height! If a tall guy or some old broad with a hat sat in front of you and you couldn't see, you were just screwed! Sure, we had cable television, but back then that was only like 15 channels and there was no on-screen menu and no remote control! You had to use a little book called a TV Guide to find out what was on! You were screwed when it came to channel surfing! You had to get off your ass and walk over to the TV to change the channel. And we didn't have Cartoon Network either! You could only get cartoons on Saturday morning. Do you hear what I'm saying!?! We had to wait ALL WEEK for cartoons, you spoiled little bastards!
And we didn't have microwaves, if we wanted to heat something up. we had to use the stove or go build a frigging fire ... imagine that! If we wanted popcorn, we had to use that stupid JiffyPop thing and shake it over the stove forever like an idiot. That's exactly what I'm talking about! You kids today have got it too easy. You're spoiled. You guys wouldn't have lasted five minutes back in 1980's.

Thanks a bunch guys....I'm making a centerpiece with a little of ALL the ideas ! You reminded me of favorite thing...tulle !! .....Love it....instantly makes everything festive. I bought minuatare ( 10 inches ?) rose plants.....they are real small and intended for indoors ( I think ?). They came with a pretty mini Grapevine/Wooden trellis already in it They are all pink roses as she knows its a girl.....I painted the pots a soft green ( that is their nursery room color). Then I am wrapping the pots in white tulle with pink ribbons. Then I'll have pretty pink & white votive candles and some of the "Baby Girl Shower" confetti to sprinkle around it all ....( I'm sure the restaraunt will LOVE that !) Thank you for the diaper-cake link....it is pretty cool and actually a great GIFT idea !! Thanks again guys...you are the best ! Allisa
