I always love to hear about Emily's camp stories! That's so cute about the girl remembering the details from two years ago. Hope the week flys by for you. I know how much you miss her.

Hello really great Idea A~
Things have been going pretty good for Kaden he had a major ear surgery in October but he is almost completely healed now and his ear looks better than it ever has this surgery may be the last one for a good five years or so.
School started rough for Kaden but has turned around quite a bit now that Kaden has an awesome aid named Kaci that totally adores him. He is doing things he has never done for anyone.
Jonathan has went above and beyond what I dreamed possible he tested out of all his resource classes and tested in the advanced range in many areas.
My baby is THREE He's Kaden's best friend and partner in crime. The two of them will keep you on your toes.
Its really not that hard just me and the boys I been enjoying it quite fully. I made it through my first year of school this last semester I had so much going on I think I just skimmed by. Hopefully next year will be much less eventful.
Still don't know what I wanna "be" when I grow up but the possibilities seem endless ;D
Well Kaden is in my hair and wanting my attention so that all for me. Love this update page!!!

I would also like to add that the ones on that site look much different than the ones 7 years ago used for Kaden I just went and looked at them and they just look like many high chairs Kaden's had straps for the arms and legs it looked like a torcher chair

2 me it looked like a mini electric chair and I have a real problem with straps for arms and legs in any chair. I think the purpose of this chair was for physically disabled children that had little to no muscle control or even spasms. I hate the though of these chairs used on mobile children. A child should be taught to sit not forced to do so. My own experiances probably color my perception of anything good coming of this chair I don't mean to offend anyone. Radonna

All is wonderful for me. Being going through a lot of changes the boys are happy I'm happy. Have a little trouble with Kaden's school that I am working through. Still in school full time. Loving my new house. Have a new kitty and a puppy that Jonathan is taking care of like the big boy he's growing into he is 7 now. Evan will be three next week and he still takes my breath away everytime I look at him. No matter what has happened I look at my boys and I feel very very blessed to be their mother. Thank you all for thinking about me Radonna

Susan, I have just now read this and my heart just broke for Emily and for you. I am so glad that you found out what was bothering her and know what area's to work on her with.
I was very shy in school and it was hard for me to keep up with the conversations the other girls were having. I was raised very strict pentecostal and we weren't allowed to watch TV or listen to popular music or participate in any sports. The girls seem to speak a different language and I spent most of my teenage years feeling left out. I can't stand the thought of anyone feeling that way. I wish I would have had someone that could have helped me feel part of the crowd or give me pointers in relating socially to the other girls. Emily is very lucky to have a Mom like you that meets ALL her needs. You are a wonderful Mom and an amazing person. I love you to death! I am sorry it has been so long since I was able to talk to you when I finally get a chance I will explain. Hugs to you and Emily Radonna

Allisa, It was Susan that told me when Kaden got his diagnosis. He is the same Kaden you walked in the office with, that made so much sense to me and it wasn't as hard to accept after that and it has really helped Kaden now that we have the diagnosis.
My thoughts and prayers are with you on the 8th. Radonna

Alice, I think they must have just been afraid of what they didn't know about. Once they meet Luke they wont be able to help liking him. Radonna

I hope your case worker will refer you to someone that can help you. I think the ACLU or the ARC would be a place to start. If it is state funded they can be shut down for doing that. I don't know how private day care's run. I do know that in my Health Safety and Nutrition Class that we learned that each diaper changing area must have a sink and that they keep the infants and toddlers seperate from older kids. Maybe they are using that there is not a sink for changing diapers in the area that Luke will be in. Also if a sink is used for handwashing after a diaper change it isn't suppose to be used by any of the children or for any other reason but diaper changes, so it needs to be a seperate sink, BUT they can walk him to the toddler area to take care of any diaper changes he may need.
Tell us what your case worker says! Radonna

Alice, That is NOT fair at all!! What sink do they wash their hands in when they change the babies diapers. Is this day care state funded at all?? You might be able to do something legally it is NOT legal to refused services based on disability!!!! Do you have a copy of their policies? See exactly what the forms state about diapers changing. You might could take it back up there and ask her to clarify in writing WHY they are denying him. This is not fair at all!!!! SO Sorry this happened to you Radonna
