Kerri,
All prayers, hugs and heartfelt thoughts coming to you and Mr. Yosh. I do remember you. My daughter was born in Nov of 2002 and you were encouraging to me then. Our kids are close in age.
Please, please, please keep us posted.
You mentioned you will know his first three signs when he wakes up. Do you mean sign language? If so, what will they be?
God Bless, Kim and Dani

Thanks Haley's mom. I searched under the Deparment of Health and Human Services and did not think to look under the mental health area. I appreciate your response. It gives me a starting point. Not sure if I am going to apply. Dani just recently lost Medicaid due to my income.I am a single mom and Dani is my only child. Take care, Kim

Just wondering if anyone has applied for and received the Katie Becket Medicaid waiver from your state? Or checking to see about anyone's experience trying to get it. And I am a State social worker... Still in the dark Kim

I just want to say, you are not failing your precious beautiful daughter at all. Just by you coming here, joining and asking questions shows what a loving, devoted mother you are. I think you will get some great answers.
Our loves grow at different rates. Make sure you consult with your pediatrician. If you have already, what does he or she say? Dani was intolerant of milk/soy until 12 months and then once she was able to change over to a regular diet she started growing more.
I am sure you will get more responses--especially for those whose little one's had/have heart issues. Dant's heart was fine, but her stomach and interstines were not connected at birth. I joined here quickly after her birth 6 years ago and have about 3 or 4 screen names since then, but the group here has always been a great help and source of support.
All our best, Kim and Danikins

Well, I am popping back on for a brief rare moment. Love reading your posts. I have some games and learning activities Dani really enjoys and thought other's may be interested. Since I am a single parent and she is my only child, we get to play lots of games, read and play. For those of you blessed with other kids, they would enjoy playing these too. One game that she loves is Zingo, Bingo. It is age 4 and up. She is 6. It helps her learn to take turns, sequence, pronounce each piece and match to board. I believe I got it at Barnes and Noble's. Also, I found these on Overstock.com www.overstock.com/Office-Supplies/Educational-Colors-and-Ladybugs-Game-Sets/2738457/product.html, and she loves them. [glow=red,2,300]Educational Colors and Ladybugs Game Sets[/glow] My sister bought her the sequencing card set and it great too. It is fun to watch her learn and grow using these simple and inexpensive games/activities. Just thought I would share. Happy New Year's to all..... By the way, she lost her top tooth, the other is loose and she already got her big girl teeth on the bottom as they poked in behind her baby teeth and pushed them out. My little girl is growing up too fast. Wahhhh.

I have to admit, I have been working with Dani for 3 years now and she is not potty trained. She has no desire and could care less if she has wet pants. I can tell the dirty ones are bothering her. She has been dry every night for almost 3 years too--so will hold he bladder. My ex gave me a web site to look at. I can't remember it, but will check it out. He is really frustrated with this issue. However, she is learning and bright in other areas so know this will eventually happen.
Wishing you the best. Kim
